Very interesting. Do I rate it 2 or 8?

8 here, but swerve to 2 from time to time

I love musicians that have a characteristic sound. Cosmo surely is one of them.
Another wee gem from the king of wee gems.
Cosmo Sheldrake is a wonderfully creative musician.  I would never have heard of them without RP.  Thank you William and Alanna!
Gimmicky. Worth one listen every 8 years.
please stop.
William, is this your new Talk Talk?

2. No doubt.

"Joan was quizzical, studied pataphysical science in the home..."
Ring a bell?
Sounds like an encounter with Q.
I like it. This guy is my kind of weird.

As always dreamy. I'm glad I got to know this guy, thank you RP.

As a score for a western, yeah.
Gag. It has slipped: 3 > 2.
Another tedious, really annoying ditty from Cosmo. When “camp” fails to be decent.

I think he's channeling the Ray Conniff Singers here. This is giving me bad flashbacks to sitting in the back seat of our white 1957 Ford Fairlane and hearing the bland, mainstream, American pop music playing on our parents favorite AM radio station. Thank you Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Martha Reeves for saving our souls.

Neither, Cosmo is the latest in a long line of British singer song writers that lean heavily on the old music hall tradition. If you like this, try some Divine Comedy, or even early Blur. My personal favourite was "David Devant and his spirit wife"
Cool or pretentious?
Very Cosmo Sheldrake, which Is A Good Thing.
Cosmo decided to make psychedelic reggaeton?
I really cannot hear him without Charlie & The Chocolate Factory coming to mind - and I do not mean that in a good way. Weird yes, but for me not very interesting.

It's a bit like the sountrack to Fern Gully 2 sung by a monster from Nightmare Before Christmas. Still, it'sworth at least a 7 for funfactor.
