There was an absolutely frigid north wind this morning (greetings from Winnipeg) that made us both look at one another in all of our winter gear and laugh like, "Oh well, life's not so bad if all we have to complain about is the cold." She's absolutely right. This song helped me warm up :)

Dang - I wish more recordings could sound like this! Amelia & Nick are great on their own, but the whole band playing live in the studio is on another level. Perfect "you are there" mix. Anyway, I'd highly recommend "Die Young" from the same EP. A few more songs from this session available via NPR video links.

New to my ears, started at a 6 but as we glided through it had to be a 7
yes… really great sound, lyrics, vocals and the production/music has a great vibe
Good rhythm here... Sylvan Esso is one to keep an eye on. I'm sure Amelia gets all the attention but Nick is obviously doing some serious crafting back there on instruments, maybe in the same style as Goldfrapp's music design.
