How do I word this verse?
So much work at first, it goes
How should I word this verse?
So much work the further, the further you go

Go, take off a load
Letting your wings unfold and keeping everything down to a minimum
Everything a bit low
Tell 'em what you know,
Not all that you know though
The truth be told you need it more than you thought but you're managing
That's how you evened out, out

Keep on walking that line, the fine line
Between a wrong and a right
You get yours I'm gonna get mine
Is that what you signed for?
They're feeding you lines
To keep you on their side
It works every time

What you got to live for now you got the whole of the world at your feet?
And how much more can you pass yourself round?
What you got to live for now you got the whole of the world at your feet?
But you're still shaking
You need to make up some ground

Go, take off a load
Letting your wings unfold and keeping everything down to a minimum
Everything a bit low
Tell 'em what you know
Not all that you know though
The truth be told you need it more than you thought but you're managing
That's how you evened out, out

Charlie Cunningham played in Vancouver, Nov 5th.
I have been attending live shows for more than 50 years; in the UK, as a teenager, mostly in Canada, occasionally in the US; Charlie ranks well up in the top 5 gigs I have ever attended.
Excellent guitar work, great band, and a wonderful stage presence. If he shows up on a stage near you, go. Enjoy.

Agree, my wife and I made the trip over from Vancouver Island to see the same show. We're big fans of Charlie. We very seldom go to see anyone live.

It reminds me more of José González than anyone else, but a truly lovely song.
up to 8… this is brilliant
Very interesting lyrics.
Feeling this might grow on me.

no
Not at all like Alt J. I do like the lyrical rhythm. it is a lovely tune
Okay, going to be the "sounds like guy"  I suggest the singer from Alt-J.  Can the sisters and brothers from the UK tell me if it's just an accent thing or something more?
Same old same old. Actually same old new.

Darn. I was excited about a mountain biker musician for a while there.
Listened to Charlie live some years ago, in a beautiful church in Transylvania. Such a special sound, almost anachronic in its quietness and unpretentiousness. Never heard him on the radio. Until now. Thank you, RP!
