I'm still alive, don't ever doubt that
Though I fall asleep, I never fall back
Took a ride to our friend's house
Named forty-second street the day I burned it down
Just started running like a hurricane
Next thing I know we're at the fast train
One that never works, the second it starts raining
If you're bored, you should say it now
Before the sky turns gray and we're left underground
We'll have to dig a tunnel to escape
Oh, my love, just started running like a hurricane
Who'll wake you up in the middle of the night?
Make you laugh, make you cry, make you think about your whole life
Nobody here got that magic anymore
I got lines, I got jokes, I got time enough to tell it all
I think it's alright, I think it's okay
You make my heart beat like a hurricane
Like a hurricane
We hit the coast, sun it goes down
Thinking of the dead, they never stick around
No parade, there's no crying out
It's just these neon signs, paper thrown around
Make it hardest coming out the gate
But then you say all we need is car suspension
A little money and our pretension
Maybe someone to live for, maybe someone to mention how
How we look so much better, when light, it turns gold
While the night is here, we celebrate
Oh my love, you got me running like a hurricane
Who'll wake you up in the middle of the night?
Make you laugh, make you cry, make you think about your whole life
Nobody here got that magic anymore
I got lines, I got jokes, I got time enough to tell it all
I think it's alright, I think it's okay
You make my heart beat like a hurricane
Now everybody's feeling angry
And I remember feeling the same way
All around me these fell slowly
These overclocks, they started changing shape
Just love me, it's okay
You make my heart beat like a hurricane
Like a hurricane yeah
Who'll wake you up in the middle of the night?
Make you laugh, make you cry, make you think about your whole life
Nobody here got that magic anymore
I got lines, I got jokes, I got time enough to tell it all

Bon Iver into JVM! Perfect!
I remember being told while in Belize during a tropical storm: "don't joke about hurricanes". Apparently the further one is from them the more they could seem to fit into a ballad, but to others the mere sound of the word conjures images of death, misery, and destruction. And yes, I am an old grouch.

Hurricane have a rhythm. Try driving through one and you'll see what I mean. Your comment reflects on you - so stuffed with filler you can't find fulfillment.
Hurricanes don't beat.
This is the very epitome of filler.

I like this… haters just skip for gods sake
it's ok to have sweets now and again. Life is short. Just go with the groove.

I don't often comment, particularly in response to silly criticism. But I make an exception in your case, MattRudely. First, the song seems to be referring to the speed and violence of a hurricane - a condition hearts in love frequently experience. Second, and just as irrelevant as your comment, hurricanes *do* beat, as anyone who has ever been in one will attest. Your comment is the very epitome of inanity. I think the song is quite likable.

Somebody liked English Composition class...
Heart beat like a hurricane? OK, not sure about that line. But I really like the song otherwise.
