Probably not necessary to sound patronizing.  I'm a boomer and I have no difficulty telling those groups apart.

Not a millennial, but Darlingside harmonizing sounds better to me.
great simple tune, like the lyrics and the horns add the flavor

"Scratches on the album..." ? These are kids who've never lived the vinyl life. Good on them to know the olde lore.
Beautiful! I love these guys, have seen them live ❤️❤️❤️
Nice!
Bumped from 8 -> 9 because it's so lovely.

Far better harmonies than Fleet Foxes...
Love Darlingside. These four guys were schoolmates at Williams College, and now are based in Boston. I’ve seen them many times, especially at Caffe Lena. They are far beyond folk performers. Their strength is in their harmonies. Additionally, they are great multi instrumentalists; a tricked out banjo and some electronics, a touch of violin and cello, and a kick drum. Thank you Bill for your playing.
Reminds me a bit of Bon Iver.
I like this a lot, it's easy / fun to harmonize with and they make me think of Graham Nash.

Hmm.  Mellow.  Me likey....
Probably couldn't stomach a steady diet of this, but an occasional break into the mellow "folky" genre is often needed, even when we don't know it until it happens.
Thanks Bill
Very sweet chorus, but it feels like I've heard that melody many times before.  Doesn't really matter though.

Wow, no comments on Darlingside yet?  I love the textures of their harmonies, lyrics and melodies.  And they started out from where I live!

Darlingside is a four-person indie folk band from Boston, MA. The band consists of Don Mitchell, Auyon Mukharji, Harris Paseltiner, and David Senft. Their style has been described as “exquisitely-arranged, literary-minded, baroque folk-pop” by NPR. Their latest full-length album, Extralife, was released in February 2018 by Thirty Tigers.

Seems like you and NPR have similar opinions of them....I'm at a 7 still, maybe when an 8 one day....Long Live RP!!
David Spade:  I liked this band  better when they were called *Fleet Foxes*

Regardless, a nice tune.
Beautiful tune! sounds a bit like Fleet Foxes
