I wouldn’t rank this as anywhere near his best work, tho, it’s repetitive and….imma just say it: boring (to me).
He’s gifted me with enough of “10”s that he can withstand (and forgive) my “3” rating.

It's unfortunate to see so many misled reactions to Roger re. Israel and Ukraine, though on the latter that is part his own fault. I personally don't agree with everything he said, but in no way find him to be antisemitic (perhaps anti-religious) or a Putin sympathizer, let alone supporter. He has come out against Putin to stop the war...but hasn't been clear about it, while focusing on the lack of diplomacy and the western role leading up to the war, going back 15 years or so.
Unfortunately, too many want simple answers to complex problems, with deep histories.

I love this man. He has courage to speak of the human condition. And a great song. Thanks for playing it.
He is very brave. 22 ia an unusual year and his comments on it is as complex as the matter itself probably is.

wow, lots of hate lurking out there. claims of antisemitism, such a crude dogwhistle in light of the complex geopolitics and undeniable subjugation of a people. the inability to differentiate between Zionism, the Isreali state and the Jewish religeon is always a badge of ignorance. there are many inside Isreal that abhor the treatment of the Palestinian people, but it doesn't fit the simple narrative or the easy media wins. Roger, like everyone isn't perfect, but he's deeply compassionate. it's also a beautiful song to my ears.

I saw him live on the Us + Them tour in 2017 and he was in fine form. His band was wonderful. I enjoyed every minute. He was so personable and -on.- It was such a delight, and as a bonus, I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this album.

I noticed that the last two tunes got many political comments. I could care less about an artist's politics, I just care if the music is well made and worth hearing.

When you have to stop what you're doing when a track comes on: that is a 10.
Roger is using the same style of music for a love song that he has used in the past for his highly political offerings. Sounds way too much like Two Suns. It is jarring. Hard to listen to this due to Water's baggage.

man I first heard this track, on RP, when I was locked up in a psychward (no internet but Sangean wifi radios) and just wow. I ended up buying the album. The last 3 tracks (this being the first of them) are meant to be played together.

What has he learned from history, and from his own history? He's one of the most successful artists on the globe. His voice is heard.
