Family has a house in Tahoe with an old record player and collection of records from the later 50’s to early 70. I loved the coaster greatest hits as a little kid. Thanks for the great memories.

There's no bad music so far as I know. I guess it's simply that kind of music u don't like… so why not clicking the ›skip‹ button rather than blaming RP for playing legendary classic tunes?
Long live RP! :-)
I'm not suggesting that this is simply "bad music", but it's the last thing I want to hear on RP.
Now that I think about it, it is simply bad music...

I've heard all of the mentioned artists on RP. Glad they are in the rotation.
Great song but seems a little out of place for RP...right?
Okay then what about Jerry Lee Lewis, The Big Bopper or Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers?

This makes me think of my Dad who passed when I was 15. That's a HAPPY memory! Music is definitely one of the ways I still connect to him and I'm thankful he introduced me to some classic artists.

Ah yes.... This and "Charlie Brown" were on K-Tel's Goofy Greats and/or Loony Tunes records back in the 70s....
...or so I've heard. Not that I can remember that far back, of course. No, never.

I remember this from grammar school when I was 12 years old and we has sock hops as someone spun a bunch of 45s in the gym when it rained too hard for an outdoor recess. I have no idea where the records came from as this was the 1950's and no one had much expendable money. We were once young. Where did the time go?
Big smile on my face.
Holly Hunter in "Always".
The coasters wrote this for my birth day. I am forever grateful.
This is landing really well on the ears today for some reason!
Man, you really had to be there to appreciate this.
It stood out from the background AM pablum we were being fed...

I think Leiber and Stoller ('Hound Dog') wrote a lot of stuff for the Coasters. Among many other groups.
Here's a song that disputes the idea that really bad music is a new phenomenon.

I want to say I remember this from the Schwarzenegger/Devito film "Twins" when the (young and very buff) Arnold was singing it on the airplane. I for one would never talk back to him!
Great add to the RP playlist, thanks BillG! Long Live RP!!

If your toes aren't tapping, what's up with you? Love that sax!

Came along at just the right time in my day....loved it
