It felt so much like "Under the Milky Way" by The Church.  The intro and start of the song made me think it was a cover of that song.

Enjoyed it in spite of the similarities.
Bill pourquoi pas un peu de Karkwa ?
Something in this tune reminds me of In Liverpool by Suzanne Vega
The wikipedia entry of this band:

This is a list of fictional bears that appear in video games, film, television, animation, comics and literature. This also includes pandas, but not the unrelated red panda species. The list is limited to notable, named characters. This list is a subsidiary to the List of fictional animals article.

Bill, could we have more of them please?
Yes. One of the best features of RP is the collection of international offerings. Depth you seldom see in a market obsessed with Western culture myopically.

No, I have too....and I would swear it was here on RP.

Très bizarre.

Beautiful. Follow with something from City and Colour maybe.

I live near the river where you gave me life.
Far from the sea, far from boredom,
I live near the river where you taught me everything,
So that I will never forget you.

You climb mountains, brave hurricanes,
Hunt men, protect your blood.
You climb the mountains, transport our torments,
Push the evil in the currents.

I will stay where the wind does not push me,
to fear the time that separates us.
I will stay where the wind brings me back to you,
By the river that I owe you.

Tres jolie.
What a lovely song! It helps to direct my thoughts to A Very Special Lady Friend in Toronto, whom I miss very much!

Funny how the french canadian accent disapears almost completly as soon as they sing, I've noticed this on many singers (and yes... Celine Dion is one of them)

As someone who isn't used to hearing French Canadian, the accent is still very obvious.

This is lovely.  I am hearing something from Gotye mixed in here, though.

I see that many Quebecers listen to RP, which also proves that we have distinguished tastes from the musical point of view in Quebec. Thank you for this song Bill !!
It always surprises me when I discover beautiful music from my home town on RP.
It's like it took a 5,000 mile roundtrip to reach my ears from just down the block...

Merci !
Thanx from Montréal. This song was a very nice surprise. Toujours agréable d'entendre de la musique en français. You should listen to another band from Montréal: Karwa. Totally RP material.
Je te remercie pour cette chanson calmante et hypnotique, Bill!
wassup with the Hipster fascination with Bears, Deer,  Wolves and such?
Great to hear French canadian music. Let's here more. This song is lovely.  How about some Cowboys Fringants. Lively and so canadien!

Very nice. From my home town on top of it. thanks!
Merci Bill et Rébèka

French dudes have no choice. They often do it in english for survival purposes. Hence the name of the band

I'm happy and surprised to hear a french canadian song on RP ! Thank you !

Very good song excerpts from a great first album... I'm very happy to listen to this band on RP !!!
They are French Canadians
Great french song from that Canadian band
Lovely. Like its namesake, a flowing river. These guys don't seem to be native French speakers, but they pull it off nicely.
