Dream, dream, dream, dream
Dream, dream, dream, dream
When I want you in my arms
When I want you and all your charms
Whenever I want you
All I have to do is dream
Dream, dream, dream
When I feel blue in the night
And I need you to hold me tight
Whenever I want you
All I have to do is dream
I can make you mine
Taste your lips of wine
Anytime night or day
Only trouble is
Gee whiz
I'm dreamin' my life away
I need you so, that I could die
I love you so and that is why
Whenever I want you
All I have to do is dream
Dream, dream, dream, dream
I can make you mine
Taste your lips of wine
Anytime night or day
Only trouble is
Gee whiz
I'm dreamin' my life away
I need you so, that I could die
I love you so and that is why
Whenever I want you
All I have to do is dream
Dream, dream, dream

I just watched a really good documentary of them on PBS TV. It is really worth seeing!

How about a Lemonheads or Iggy Pop version!
somebody needs to make a Scandinavian Death Metal cover of this just to keep my teeth from rotting from the sweetness. Don't get me wrong, it's a 10, but soooo saccharine.

Just before I went to bed last night, I watched an episode of The Sandman on Netflix. This was the first song I heard at work today. An odd synchronicity.

Love these guys
Good memories from my parents album collection when I was a kid.
I heard the first chord and said "Dream!" before they sang it.
Oh My! Deep in the brain I knew what the song was.

Many of the famous musicians of the 60s idolized the Everlys and their peerless harmonies.

Great song with lyrics from a long-gone era you sure won't hear anymore...

Saw these guys doing a "greatest hits Tour" in 1968.
They played most of this album dead straight faced.
And lo, it was good.

dreamy harmony
Nice! Takes me back to some of my earliest musical memories, courtesy of the Shell series of "Crusing Classics" cassettes my dad bought for our road trips. Call it a 7 with a +2 for nostalgic reasons.
Long Live RP and " dusting" off some of the song files!!

They also got a nod from Paul MCartney, who said those incredible Everly Brothers' harmonies were a goal the Beatles tried hard to emulate at the beginning of their career.
Truly influential.
Got a nice nod (throughout) in Graham Nash's recent book.

Not too sweet for me - this song has some of the best harmonies ever.
Love it, love to sing it. It's part of a definitive era.

Thanks for playing this, a thoughtful remembrance of the late, great Phil Everly.
