Cracker opened for Cheap Trick and Big Head Todd & the Monsters at Red Rocks June 7, and we were treated to lots of rowdy, raucous, rebellious jams like this... They had a wild, energetic gal on violin that made David's CVB version of "Matchstick Men" one of the rocking highlights of the perfectly splendid night...

When quoted the $400 fee, my Dad exclaimed in his booming voice "$400!? For that price I could have my aunt put down!"

No resemblance in style or content to any Burt Bacharach song.  A soft pop-and-strings "What the world needs now is love sweet love" has no d.n.a in common with

For some reason I thought this was a hard rocking Tom Petty song.
 
Also shame on Wikipedia... "What The World Needs Now" goes to a 1965 Burt Bacharach song, and "Teen Angst" goes to a 1996 Placebo song.  I finally found the song page but it doesn't say anything about it being a cover.

Johnny Hickman is a very talented guitarist and has a strong stage presence when Cracker performs live... went to see these guys on a whim at Winery in Atlanta a couple of years ago and they put on one hell of a show!
