Buddy, you're a boy, make a big noise
Playin' in the street, gonna be a big man someday
You got mud on your face
You big disgrace
Kickin' your kind all over the place

Singin'
We will, we will rock you
We will, we will rock you

Buddy, you're a young man, hard man
Shouting in the street, gonna take on the world some day
You got blood on your face
You big disgrace
Waving your banner all over the place

We will, we will rock you (''Sing it, ah'')
We will, we will rock you

Buddy, you're an old man, poor man
Pleading with your eyes, gonna make you some peace some day
You got mud on your face
Big disgrace
Somebody better put you back into your place

We will, we will rock you
Sing it!
Hmm, we will, we will rock you
Everybody, we will, we will rock you
Uh, we will, we will rock you
Alright

My team sang this at the beginning of a football match.  Of course after winning 7-0 with our two strikers having hat tricks, We left singing "We Are the Champions!" We were Queen for a marvelous day!
It's an Anthem.  A solid 9

Today you got your wish.

Granted I'm at the front end of the Millenial cohort, but I grew up listening to both of those songs, together, on Queen's Greatest Hits. Even though they butted up against each other, I always thought of them as separate. Seemed weird to me that FM radio would play them back-to-back, just because, when it would obviously be a lot of airtime to devote to a band at once. I get that there's some generational nostalgia to having them back-to-back, but for me it's never been a hill to die on or anything.
One of the most memorable openings. Instantly recognizable.
It would be nice to hear "It's Late" from this album once in a while.

The occasional beaten classic juxtaposed in a sea of eclectic-ity is fine by me!
Awesome - Thanks Bill.
Good memories  - first 8 track I ever bought way back when I was 10 years old!

Play "It's Late" from this album. Best rock tune ever - NOT Bohemian Rhapsody.
A great song ruined by constant overplaying by Classic Rock radio.
Brian May's signature guitar at its most elemental.
Hell Bill, where are you getting your listeners from?

One of my favourite Queen tracks. Possibly  because it is so different.
AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH - bury the 1970's classic rock music in an atomic waste site, please - and let this music die a peaceful death.
footbol match anyone?

Ha ha.  I think it is fun.  I wanted to ask, "Who doesn't like this song?".  But I just was sharing this comment with my significant other and he said, "I was never into that whole 'We Will Rock You' scene, except at a Rockies game when the whole stadium is stomping".  Maybe I have poor taste in music, so I'll have to restate, "Who doesn't like stomping and clapping to this song at a Rockies game?".

Brian May plays all the right notes - but not in the right order?  What does that mean? Are you an oracle?  The guy is and was a monster - you on the other hand....
Oh and I personally eat my dessert before my dinner.

One of the first raps ever, pionering ?

I really like that I don't have to hear "We are the Champions" right after this. Thank you.

I don't care for this tune really, but Brian May is one of the foremost guitar players in rock music.  He certainly knows how to play notes "in order".
This is not my favourite Queen song.  But what an amazing voice Freddie had!

This is Queen??

I thought it was just hockey games.
If I had to pick one song in the world that I wish had never been written, this would be it.
Iconic.

And as memorable a guitar solo as there's ever been in rock music.
Love the tone of Brian May's Red Special on this one. He and his father built it - partly for financial considerations, but also because they wanted to. Love that spirit.

Thanks, Bill, for following it up with something different too. Zep did that on their box set too, breaking up Heartbreaker/Livin Lovin Maid and I thought it was a nice change as well.
I can only give it a 5 because "We Are the Champions" was not played next.  I was dancing with my daughter and was about to wax lyrical about Queen, but then was unceremoniously cut short.

Is there any rock tune on the planet more over-played than this? And it would be somewhat tolerable if it was actually a decent song.

sure there is. "We are the Champions" is just as overplayed. I agree though. Have never cared for either song. Two songs that just mindlessly thud along.

Here too.

That guitar so is pretty damn good though.

I'm listening and hoping this will fare into the connecting tune...I really hope...

Have to say I love Brian May's distorted guitar tone...
More Queen!  Please search for their more obscure cuts!
Iconic, but not my favorite.
Not their best song, but Queen always sounds well, not so frequently in RP so this was good!
Minus 0 - quite possibly the worst song of all time.
A very good mate of mine has worked for Roger Taylor for many years. He has plenty of tales to tell but I can't pass them on. Sorry.

However, what I can say is that he has enabled a lot of new talent over the years by supporting local musical talent letting them use his recording studio and giving advice and help. Which is nice.
Really?
Even multi talented and intelligent rockers have the right to 'rock you!'
enfin du lourd !

Exactly my opinion, from time to time I'm fine with it
That Brian May, plays all the right notes, just doesn't play them fast enough.....!
No, no, no, no, no. This is a song that guarantees I will run to my computer and look for an alternative source of music, until I'm sure it's over.

A friend's dad had the album because he loved the Guitar bit by May (Dr. May now) at the end of this tune.

Yeah, this song is great, all the lame complainers below have been listening to their iPods too long... it needs to be played loud over large cabinet sized speakers
I was listening to Radio Paradise and a hockey game broke out......
Jeez - lighten up guys. If you'd ever heard this live in a stadium with everyone joining in you might have a different opinion. Just enjoy it for what it is - a fantastic piece of rock theatre.

Queen at Wembley in '86 - my first ever gig....

I used to hate this song. Pretty cool right now!

But Bill, you have to let it go into We Are The Champions next!  Otherwise, it's like playing half a song.
double yuk.  no, on second thought super size that yuk.
Yuk.
I've always hated this song, a most overplayed piece of crap. I do like most of Queens other efforts however, just not this one.
I give this a 4 but hate myself for rating it that high.{#Redface}
First!, Classic song, classic album cover.
Doh!
Queen is so cool, but I hate this song.
