Saw Buckethead live last weekend in Buffalo and he was really something. Fantastic guitar skills and effects. And he breaks up the show with some interesting things like using nunchucks while playing, handing out toys to the crowd (including buckets), and letting the crowd play on his guitar. Most musicians wouldn't let anyone near their guitar!

I second that. Haven't heard Buckethead for a looooong time. I shouldn't be surprised Bill found the boy...

Years later, I'm still amused by this passage on the official Story of Buckethead:

One night, after he got to be this tall, somebody threw a bucket of fried chicken into the coop. Try as he might, Buckethead couldn't put the chicken back together again. So he put the bucket on his head, picked up his guitar and ran to the cemetery.

So, Bill says he performs with a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket on his head and a white mask over his face.  (In the Southland, that would be a little too closse to the KKK for my comfort.)  Whatever odd behaviors he may exhibit, his guitaring was superb.

I like the fact that he even freaked out Axl! He lived in a tent during the recording sessions, is completely his own bizarre character. And here Axl thought he was all bad and out there.
