My Love, my love is a mountain side
So firm, so firm it can comb the tide
My love for you is a mountain side
Stand so firm it can comb the tide
That's why my love, my love is a mountain side

My love, my love is an ocean's roll
So strong, so strong that I can't let you go
My love for you is an ocean's roll
Grows so long that I can't let you go
That's why my love, my love is an ocean's roll

My love is longer than forever
Endless as the march of time
99 years after never
In my heart you'll still be mine

Cause my love, my love is a deep blue sea
So deep, so deep that I'll never be free
My love for you is a deep blue sea
Grown so strong that I'll never be free
That's why my love, my love is a deep blue sea
My love, my love is a deep blue sea
My love, my love is a deep blue sea
My love, my love is a deep blue sea

I've heard Robbie Robertson sing " sitting in the backseat listening to Little Willie John" probably hundreds of times, but I don't think I've ever heard any Little Willie John songs until today.

Somewhere Down the Crazy River
I remember as a teenager in the 60s at the Dungeon club in Nottingham hearing Little Willie John’s record of ‘Fever’ played by Peter Stringfellow.

Barely two and a half minutes? Definitely wish the song were longer.
Smooth
Part of the soundtrack of the great John Sayles movie, Lone Star.
Love it.

My friend, Sue Whitall, wrote his story. A former Creem reporter, she's now the music columnist for The Detroit News.
Cool.

True, true.

Thank you. Nice spare sound.  Better than the landslide of mush from so many newer groups.

listening to Little Willie John.
Ah, that's when time stood still..."
