Sad story about the artist. Did not know he was the Wicked Game' guitar.
Yes! He played on a lot of Chris Isaak tunes! GREAT GUITARIST! May he Rest In Peace!

It was Wilsey's Stratocaster, and in particular Wilsey's use of reverb and gentle tremolo, which gave the distinctive 50's sound to Isaak classics such as Wicked Game (the simple two-note riff that opens which, in his own words, "crystallizes Wilsey's approach") and Blue Hotel..."
Good detective work MojoJojo. Tasty twang indeed.
way cool atmosphere : )
It should!
Makes me want to do the same, and I'm a guy! (just kidding.......sort of.......)
Kidding about being a guy? Or wearing high heels and frilly skirt? Or dancing on a tabletop?
Let's BOTH dance on a tabletop. You can be a guy and wear pants (thus ensuring that we succeed in spilling all the drinks.).

Great set!
All I know is that he did!
I was told told WILSEY nailed his - Isaac' s - girlfriend!
True...?
Wilsey sounds tooootally lost with Issacs!
Very-very unhappy and regretting!
Poor chap!
This music is nothing!
Oh, cripes, this thread has devolved into a badly dubbed version of "Inside Edition."

AGREE NOT - I!
Maybe you compare to your married chick at home....?

Any comments on the rest of this album? This song is a solid 9 from listen #1.
Nice album, but since I posted this song on the LRC I am not an objective party (smile). All instrumentals. He has a recognizeable sound, but he mixes it up a bit by taking on various styles, song by song. From echoes of Link Wray...to spaghetti Western...to some country twang...to film noir...and early rock and surf. Nice playing throughout...a beautiful soundtrack of his tone. I submitted another one off this album on the LRC, so vote up "The Rattler" if you like what you hear!

This is why I've listened to RP every day for the last five years.
