American here - can't stand country, redneck, honkey tonk... none of it. Go listen to some random station in Dallas and get your fill and come back.
When a select few of our Euro friends here on RP occasionally dismiss certain genres of American music as stupid redneck dreck (among other sobriquets), is this what they are holding as a standard? Curious.

A more correct though bewildering translation would be Dachshundman, whatever that is. Maybe he is walking it while digging Sprocket on his ipod...
Google translates the album and song titles as "Taxman" and "Red" - in case you're curious.
This song, while not bad, doesn't make me think Taxman. At all.

Another 8 from Kent, likely to rise on future listens - I've got to get one of their CDs ordered. Some more samples on their mySpace page if anyone's interested. Just goes to show that Sweden isn't just Wallander and smorgasbord ;). Still, with all those long winter nights they've plenty of time to create great music :o)

The CD cover seems very 60's Mary Quant influenced!

Move over Depeche Mode, here comes Kent! Terrific! Synthesizers seem to be making a big comeback. (at least on RP today
)

I am in debt
An unpayable debt which has grown large, larger, largest
I am hunted as if it was about money
I have a friend
A wonderful and loyal friend
Like a dog, I let you down again
I let myself down
so see me as a man again
chorus:
(Darling that is life which is playing
playing with us now
Darling that is life which is playing
playing with us now again
You don't know where I have been
You don't know who I am
Do you even know where you have been?
Do you even know who you are?
Darling, that is life)
My medicine
A sun comes up and makes me squint at
harsh light, harsh
Black days are followed by bright nights
chorus
