I walked into love
I walked into a minefield I never heard of
I walked into love
I walked into a minefield, I never heard of

Her remains were spread out like the pieces of a puzzle
It took her three hundred and sixty five days putting them together
The pieces were quite difficult to distinguish from each other
They were tiny and the clear blue sky went on forever

Clearly the corners were an easy start
That was when everyone was still helping me out
When it was time to fill in the frames, they left
They thought I ought to have gotten over you by then

Her remains were spread out like the pieces of a puzzle
It took her three hundred and sixty five days putting them together
The pieces were quite difficult to distinguish from each other
They were tiny and the clear blue sky went on forever

I wouldn't do that to you
I wouldn't do that to you
I wouldn't do that to you
I wouldn't do that to you

I walked into love
I walked into a minefield, I never heard of
I walked into love
I walked into a minefield, I never heard of
I never heard of

Just saw her at the Largo in L.A. last night. The night before she was at the Hollywood Bowl with Peter Gabriel. She was perfect and very nice to us all. In person her voice is perfect. There were only about 60 of us and she took the time to thank us all and sign for us. She is as sweet and sincere as they come. I wish all could see her sing, it is a treat I would do it again in a heart beat.
{#Curtain}  Beautiful song with a voice so tender and the lyrics seem a metaphorical journey of the heart.  {#Idea}

What is this?  The soundtrack from CSI: Miami?

Egads!   How did this make the playlist?

The first part of this post stated only would have made it genius. If I had seen that, I'd still be "snort" laughing. 6 and some change.

Beautiful song
Another artist to check out...Radio Paradise is keeping me busy. Really like this.{#Cool}
That 'quirky' syncopation reminded me of  "Froggy went a Courtin', he did right...Cranbone..."

Can't say that I like, can't say that I hate it. 5

No, you are not alone.  I like this.  Nice, pretty...and haunting.  Good combo!

Bill,

Thanks for challenging my 'ear' with tracks like this.  I give it a '6'... unless my 'ear' grows to appreciate it more.  An interesting story in the lyrics, a bold syncopation in the rhythm but it's just a bit too different... right now.

I'm surprised by all the negative comments.  But then, I like Bjork, some Tori, and the occasional Nordic Elf.  Works for me.

It's good to try new things.
Although sometimes it can be painful.
Ouch!

Songs of artist Ane Brun reveal in its design a very personal style and a very particular way of approaching music, and this is the most interest,  is what it is called to be creative against-the-chain, the standart,  therefore these songs are not easy ready-to-hear at first sight, is necessary to discover, and later liked and appreciate (or not); that it is as who says, to love is necessary to know first....

I thought it was the McGarrigle Sisters. I think it's ok. No better, no worse than said Sister's work.

interesting ... and very nice!
maybe too special for the most. But ratings aren't everything, and not
always indicator for the quality of music (whatever this might be)
And the song, although short and clever,
Seemed to go on forever and ever...{#Shifty}
This song goes really deep for me.  The bridge abuts awkward (pun intended) a radical change in texture, where the lyrics say "her remains were spread all over" or something.  The deep bass sounds work well.
another nordic elf singing and dancing in a quirky manner
At first I thought it was Tori, but with a tinge of Jewel.
The cover art matches the song.  Disorienting, makes me feel queasy.

At first, her voice reminds me of Joanna Newsom, but not as interesting.  Do not like.

Unconventional. A voice like clear water. It demands an attentive listener.
It's like walking into a beautiful voice and song only to find out she's related to Eminem?  No really,  very interesting mix going on here, lol.  I'm open to it.
my favorite part about this song is that it's relatively short...

Ditto.

I really would like to like her. After all, she gets a disproportionate amount of airplay here. (Is she a relative, Bill?) But her voice really grates on me. Sorry Ane.
Different can equal nice..................8
Could you imagine having some friends over and putting this on ......LMAO You wouldn't hurt my feelings to misplace this track......forever...............

Wait...Koop has a new album? I've got to check it out.

Initially it causes some sort of pleasant surprise. But then the pieces start to fit together and it just sucks. 4 2
Reminds me of Laurie Anderson + Bjork. I like.
This is horrible!!

Similarly, I thought it was the Be Good Tanyas.

first thought it might be the Ditty Bops, but nice song. Even classy with the cello and violin.

I'd give her a 6-7 on this one .. like the lyrics though ..
Redolent of Melanie.

I neither like nor dislike this, but it's definitely strange.
Her vibrato is attracting hummingbirds to my window
Annoying...
I always carry a map of minefield locations when traversing Atlanta. Lets just say "lesson learned."
Fantastic concert in Trondheim (Norway) the last 1st of April. Vibrant !!!
WTF? Sounds like Tori Amos on helium!
Really cool stuff. I love RP.
not really bad but not my cup of tea
I'm beginning to love her. Gotta get some of her music soon.
wow...
I am definitely NOT enjoying this!!!!!!! Ugh.
