The violin is the devil's instrument and when played solo like this makes me want to stop sinning and try to earn a place in heaven - who needs fire and brimstone with this noise as an effective alternative.

I find it highly unlikely that it's a coincidence.  Bill is an artist when it comes to crafting a playlist and that transition isn't something that would just happen.

Here I am thinking, "Alison Krauss is a great fiddler—perhaps a better fiddler than she is a vocalist. Maybe we should nudge Bill to play a little more of Alison on fiddle with Union Station," and who pops up but Eileen Ivers. Coincidence? Hmm...
