I don't know what you're looking for
You haven't found it baby that's for sure
You rip me up and spread me all around
In the dust of the deed of time

And this is not a case of lust you see
It's not a matter of you versus of me
It's fine the way you want me on your own
But in the end it's always me alone

And I'm losing my favourite game
You're losing your mind again
I'm losing my babay
Losing my favourite game

I only know what I've been working for
Another you so I could love you more
I really thought that I could take you there
But my experiment is not getting us anywhere

I had a vision I could turn you right
A stupid mission and a lethal fight
I should have seen it when my hope was new
My heart is black and my body is blue

And I'm losing my favourite game
You're losing your mind again
I'm losing my favourite game
I've tried but you're still the same

I'm losing my baby
You're losing a saviour and a saint

A strange game....

One of the darkest albums of the late 90s. Great work
Want to play again?
Love it....... In These Shoes?  - Kirsty MacColl,  Sharp Dressed Man - ZZ Top, then The Cardigans.
More clothing segues please BillG ? Chair dancing is great exercise first thing for an October working morning

Garbage are a great band, agreed that mare Garbage needs to be played.
There's a wicked, hot car crash video for this song on YouTube. Worth searching for.

Agree w my Montreal bro - AlienNLight - this could be a Garbage song. Love Garbage! Want more pls BillG!!

I always think this is Garbage at first

Edit: reading that statement aloud sounded wrong. This sounds like Garbage, but it's certainly not garbage.
Brilliant album - high(est)light for me is the subsequent track Do You Believe - the Deftones did a great cover of that too! 👌

great song while sitting on the porch at sunset while smoking a cigar and sipping bourbon

I love this, always have since it was a number one in the charts here. Also love Erase/Rewind.
Clothes based segment Kirsty MacColl In these shoes?, ZZ Top Sharp dressed man, then The Cardigans.  NICE Bill
Highly recommend this one's music video.
Holy crap... there's comments on here "Posted 15 years ago".  It's going to be strange in the future to see online posts that are 40 or 50 years in the past.
Good Tune!
"No, the CardiACS"
Pair that with Garbage 😈
Just realised Nina Persson sounds a lot like Sheryl Crow (and thats a compliment to both of them IMO!)
Needs more lyrics.

The oldest comments on this song are about 16 years ago and a few things have changed since then, attitudes to women,  the Me Too" movement etc.  Well I would just like to make a philosophical comment about life and I don't care if it is not PC anymore...  Nina Persson was at her peak of her beauty and female sexuality when "Erase,  Rewind" and this song were out.  Nina is still a beautiful mature woman today but looking back there is that time - that evanescent moment in life when beauty is at its peak.

This is a very nice way of saying "Still would"

Had to re-read that comment to realize it was Garbage with a capital G, and it's actually a good thing

Your taste is correct. EMPIRICALLY .

This band is the bane of all Cardiacs fans.

Used to do a cover of 'My Favourite Game' in my last band. RP played The Cars - 'Just What I Needed' about 10 mins ago. Used to do a cover of that one in one of my old bands too. Pure coincidence i'm sure, but its a bit wierd the way these cards turn some times, isn't it?
Love the video. Yummy.
I love the groove, the purring vocals! One of the catchiest songs ever, and I always love hearing this LOUD!
 unclehud wrote:
Little help, please!  What effect do you use to make your guitar sound like that?

Just my opinion but the bass sounds like it is split in to a clean but compressed channel and also thru a fuzz box then mixed.

the guitar is just heavily distorted and possibly put thru a phaser or a wah wah and left slightly phased giving that hollow tone.

thats how I would have recreated it 20 years ago, but probably nowadays you get an electronic box from korg or yamaha and select preset number 462 or something similar.
Volume up! {#Bananajam}
Just a feel good tune...

Ja! Tack så mycket! I'd no idea that this band was Swedish, so thanks for the info. RP does have a 'thing' for Scandinavia artists, a 'thing' which I heartily endorse. 10 from the Scandophile Nottingham jury.

Hard to rate this song...the vocal parts, and the instrumentals backing the vocals, are fantastic!  But the musical interludes....OMG./WTF??  Horrible!!!  So the average of 8 and 1 or 2 is about a 5?
Got my feet a-movin'. My favourite cardigan.
I thought this was No Doubt. I don't mind them, actually, but I have a feeling if this song really was by No Doubt it would be covered with abuse, not praise.

Those of us who long ago gave up to listening to sh1tey music FM in the UK aren't tired of this song, and indeed I think I heard it first on RP so haven't had time to get tired of it. Olé, Bill & Becky. 8 from the (unjaded) Nottingham jury.

This is good, but I prefer the slightly slower acoustic live version.  Wish Radio Paradise would add that to the playlist.

Whinging when you should be enjoying.  What a tiresome comment that was very uninteresting to begin with.

Most excellence. Like said: swedish gotta be! And they were the top amongst. Pure rock n roll
Reminds me of when I saw them open for Smashing Pumpkins in ATL.  '95 or '96, this must have been.  Damn, I'm old.
Very good but what do you expect? They're Swedish, it's gotta be good..{#Tongue-out}
