This song is cozy and comforting in a way that so many aren't. Little bit of the artists, little bit of the lyrics, little bit of the sound. For me, it's just a warm audible blanket.

Agreed and excellent point! Recently when people ask me why I like certain songs, movies, shows, etc I often find myself citing earnestness as a key element between something I enjoy and something that's a "favorite". I don't think that was always the case for me, but it's become the hidden ingredient that makes things really sing to me.

Listening more intently than usual, I can hear that connection. Bit of an edge, but not 'angry', more like 'intense'. Speaks to your point - thanks for making me listen closer!

Had to look up the Gold Hill Inn. 
I've taken Lefthand Canyon Rd. and Sugarloaf Rd. before  and still had no idea that this place existed.
More than a little off the beaten path.  Will have to check it out next time I'm in Colorado.

I've always loved the syncopation of the lyrics with the beat. Not to mention the uplifting lyrics themselves. This song always make me feel better.

love these guys! I saw them in concert twice at a small outdoor venue, Lime Kiln, in Lexington, Va. I think the first time they'd only just graduated from college. So very glad they caught Bill's ear!

I saw them in Park City where they openned for BHTM. They're pretty good live; but after BHTM rocked the house down, I couldn't even remember Carbon Leaf's name. I kept on calling them "Copper something"...

So far a lot taht I've heard comes from RP, I went to their web site.. and found they offer a lot of their music for free download.. and of course most of what they've offered is very good.. like it.. thinkin' of buyin...
