Way back in the hills
There's a ploace I know
People comes from miles around
Just to watch 'ol Dooley do the show

Ooh let the blueboy play
Ooh let the blueboy play
Gonna ride the mule
Gonna chase him too
Pullin' on-a pullin' on-a
Pullin' on-a pony
He goes...

Soon's the sun go down
That's when the fun begins
Hitch your wagon down the track
Up to the roadhouse
And come on in

Ooh let the blueboy play
Ooh let the blueboy play
Gonna ride the mule
Gonna chase him too
Pullin' on-a pullin' on-a
Pullin' on-a pony
He goes...

Instrumental

Sheriff says it late
Closin' time we got to go
But Dooley he don't want to quit
Ain't nobody feels like goin' home

Ooh let the blueboy play
Ooh let the blueboy play
Gonna ride the mule
Gonna chase him too
Pullin' on-a pullin' on-a
Pullin' on-a pony
He goes...

He's a great slide player, but this song just doesn't make the cut for me. On a side note this a really good album despite this song.

on the left coast in particular, drinking an 8oz Olympia beer

I should think that there are plenty of forums out there that are more oriented to your peculiar kinks...

Perhaps ypu should charge money for letting people see your mouth reach your most extreme other orifice

Evil be to him who evil thinks
Don't know why, but that segue from I Will Dare to Blueboy really works (must be the Great Chair Dancing Songs connection)...

This song reminds me of going to the local convenience store ... looking through the aisles of tasty treats ... selecting a new flavor of bubble gum from a brand that you remember as being really good ... pulling out the stick of gum ... taking that first chew ... and thinking to yourself ... meh.

Looks suspiciously like Snake from the Simpsons ...
Kind of a generic Fogerty song. I can recognize riffs from several different songs. Not a bad thing, though.
Love the "stunt hair" - thanks Lonestar

This is more common than you might think. It has happened to me and to most people if you ask them. You meet someone famous but you don't realise who they are, and you get sworn at or similar for this 'sin'. Most artists have overblown egos unfortunately. Other side of the coin, John Lennon said he liked N.Y. becuase of precisely that fact. Most people didn't know who he was when he went out!! (one person did though, unfortunately).
Aren't many performers that can consistently just make me grin and feel happy. Every time I hear 'Center Field' I'm 9 years old, in the park and in sunshine.

This gets my award for most literal and cheesy album cover of the month. I think he also enlisted stunt-hair for the shot.

I just did the exact same thing. At least we're in good company :)

Cool - another Fogerty song that I like.
wow, this really is crap isn't it?
Sounds good! But something is wrong with that cover art.
ouuuuuuu la la.
Listened to your comments about Fogerty being screwed over. Why not play Zanz can't dance?
Dancing at my desk.

Wow, I think I'd be in the "sin bin" for a long time. I don't keep room in my brain for remembering what every famous person looks like!
"Pulling on a pony"?
Good stuff. That he still sounds the same, but does exciting and original stuff within the CCR sound is wonderful and remarkable!
I love John Fogerty, but I sure wish he would take a risk and do something that didn't sound like CCR... its been over 30 years!
it just bores me.
The guy has a gift for those little tasty, bluesy guitar riffs.
Problem I have with john is A firend of mine dragged we to a stripper show in the late 80's in Arizona, many danced to his tunes that were big at the time. Sort of makes it hard to take him serious. Bevis sez " he said hard he he he he he "

Fogerty was in Jacksonville last night on tour. I didn't go (though I saw him in Daytona in the mid-late '80's), but I read the review in the local rag and the critic had nothing but praise for him (the link to it is https://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/061305/lif_review.shtml). It's good to hear he is back at it as the guy is amazing. I hope he can keep it up for a good long while.
Hey, thanks for the link! Cool to read that he got back his Credence catalog!
