UMMMM
If Neil Young was a girl he would be called Janice.
Wow. Look at that. Her fingers have gotten verrrry long over the yearsss... hiccup
This sure takes me back. I haven't listened to Janis since I was an anxt-ridden, depressed college student. Now that I'm older and wiser, I'm still digging it.
Wow, Janis Ian. What a flashback. Has to be 30 years since I heard her last sing. She was such a staple back when I was "forever young." Only on RP...thanks.
Beautiful voice.
too slow for 10:30 a.m., much less 7:30 a.m. - lively up yourselves!!!
"Forever Sleepy" Who died?
Yesterday afternoon you were playing such great stuff.....this afternoon bleech!
You don't hear much of Janis these daze, more's the pity, really like her.
I hate this

How many songs are there called "Forever Young?" Seems to me there are a lot (Dylan, Alphaville, Rod Stewart, etc... ) It's weird. I mean, you'd expect a title like "I Love You" to be used frequently, but so many forever youngs...odd...
Not so weird. The wish to stay alive forever is as strong as the wish to love and be loved. It is at the very base of human emotions
Janis is always amazing to see in concert, and she's very appreciative of fans - she'll always stick around for meet 'n greet, autographs, etc. Very cool, such a great talent. This song is beautiful.

Different songs.
Pretty freaking bland! I think Janis Ian is at her best when she inserts a bit of attitude into her songs.
Most excellent indeed. Great understated harmonies, and the banjo makes the song even more poignant.
A beautiful moment in my day...Thanks, Bill...AGAIN!
I absolutely adore this song. I feel it to my core. Perfect song for my midnight exit to slumber....and as a goodbye to our ARIOCH...

It's... okay. Hearing her makes me wish I were listening to Gillian Welsh instead. No offense.
Very nice. This illustrates the kind of folk music I love.
this is so nice. It kinda sounds like Amazing Grace - its the pentatonic scale that does it.
Good to hear from Society's Child. The Avril Lavinne (SP?) of yesteryear. Ha!

Good point! :highfive:

What a wonderful song. Her voice is vaguely reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, but her expression is her very own. I would never discover music like this without RP, I am forever in your debt! :)
Oh wow, Janis Ian has been in the mainstean music for decades...oh well

What about "Die young, Stay pretty" by Blondie...?

Second time to hear it today but I don't care. A very beautiful song.
This is beautiful.

Anybody know who wrote this song?
Thanx to the RP concert link I just got tickets to see Janis Ian in London on the 21st of September. I've got two extra seats at fifth row center, so any interested RP listeners should feel free to get in touch.
Very nice!
Ok, Bill. I'll take your implicit heavy play recommendation and buy the disk. Amazon, one Janis Ian, please!
This is such a pretty song. Makes me feel happy and sad at the same time.
