We loves a bit of Solomon

What a beautiful simple tune, with nothing flashy in the way of chord changes or overly fancy poetry, and a deceptively rolling rhythm, relying on subtly increasing insertions of organ and backing vocals to carry it through to its peak and then its sudden halt. Really nice, honestly done  - I'd welcome more by him.

RIP Solomon, and +1 to 9 for the simple beauty of this song as you perfectly mention it, 2020sk; LLRP!!

He was a big influence on Van Morrison. What does that tell ya'?

Most Excellent music on a rainy late morning, transcendent sincerity  : )

  Yeah, this whole song has a Van feel. Good thing Van acknowledges his influences.

He makes it seem so effortless and natural. Super.

All those hip-hop posers can't hold a candle to this guy.

What does one have to do with the other? I suppose I like Mr. Burke better than Luciana Pavarotti too, but don't see what either has to do with the price of eggs in china.{#Stupid}
Great song from a great album. Train song + soul + Solomon Burke = most excellent!

I didn't know he died last year...but I also didn't know he was 350 pounds. Guess I just always enjoyed his music, knowing very little about the man.

King Solomon, first and unique!
The ease of his voice and the complexity of the feelings he evokes are what make this guy monumental for me
I listened to this many times after a record store worker suggested it and this track and "Diamond in your mind" were my favorite and great to sing back-up to.

Yep, mine! I saw Solomon Burke at Tivoli in Utrecht about a year ago. Brilliant concert. I went there utterly depressed (don't ask), but went home smiling. Best. Feel-good. Music. Ever.
Great upload ce! I love this guy's music

Hey hello, Ce! Good to see you, it's been a while. Great upload. Probably it's only truly meaningful (soulful!) music that can have such an effect.

Wisely done.
You can play more of this. I don\'t believe I\'ve ever heard Keb Mo on radioparadise. His style is very similar to this.
