From Splitz Enz through Crowded House, his projects with his brother and, his solo career, this Kiwi has been much of the soundtrack of my life.  I could do worse but it would be hard to do better.

True.   CH is one of the most under appreciated bands - at least in the USA.   They're superstars in NZ.

If you have any doubts, don't — buy this album. It is well-written (of course) and creatively arranged. I'm a huge Crowded House fan, but this album brings something altogether different to the table.

Great Track. Co written with the wonderful Wendy Melvoin of Wendy & Lisa, who both appeared on the album. Saw them 2 or 3 times in London when they played live with Neil. Had a teenage crush on Wendy. At the after show of the Princess Theatre gig, she literally walked into me. All I could do was giggle like some demented idiot. I'm a 6'6" ex-rugby player. I looked like a right pratt.

The Finn rocks. Very, very entertaining live. A must see.

This really is a wonderful album. It would appear Bill has been re-experiencing it lately, which is fine by me. Hadn't listened to it for awhile and every song is a gem.

On the "Seven Worlds Collide" concert DVD, Neil introduces this as a song about "when you disappear up your own ass and you're the last to notice. And usually, it's the person closest to you who has to sit you down and just tell you to stop." The live version of this song is better than this studio effort, IMHO. In fact, a lot of Neil's songs turn out better live, I've found. First noticed on the "One All/One Nil" tour. I also saw him last summer on the Finn Brothers tour with Tim, and found that a few songs from their last album in particular had much more character and range in performance. And for that reason, if you're a Finn fan, you should definitely get "Seven Worlds Collide" DVD. There's a CD that includes a little more than half of the DVD audio, but the DVD is worth having too.

An absolutely featureless surface, totally indistinguishable from all the other "Best Artist You've Never Heard Of" genre. I had to give it a 4 because it is so bland there's nothing to object to.

Start with Crowded House - Woodface or the self-titled debut. And expand from there...you will NOT be disappointed!
