I'm thinking about Neil Diamond?
Scott Walker too

That seems unlikely.

But intriguing…
Loved this song in the movie Wonder Boys
This song is timeless.

Me too - I thought of it as a Walker Brothers song.
How is it that in my 70+ years, this is the first time I consciously hear this?...

Is this the original? I only know the Midge Ure version (which is totally epic).

Funny. Back in the day I did actually notice that Midge did not write this song. But today is the first time I get to hear the original. đŸ˜„

It's interesting how, as we accelerate down the timeline away from the 20th century,  almost anything that happened before about 1985 is often conflated as "70s era" :)

The Walker Brothers version will always be on my list of "covers besting the original" RIP Scott.  One of the greatest voices in pop music.

What a very unique and somewhat mesmerizing sounding voice this gentleman has!!

While I prefer the unadorned, non-symphonic version this is still an amazing song.

Fixed that :-)
I actually have regrets.
No lyrics  No Regrets.
Would like to hear more TR - particularly Driving Wheel & his original of this one.

It took them long enough to play this great song again. I tried uploading "Driving Wheel" but it got insta sorried.

Have you considered Testosterone Replacement Therapy?{#Ask}
Can we please return from 1970s AM radio?
Wow, some comments below. Do you really believe that?
I had just returned from the swamps of the Mekong Delta and was still in a different swamp when this came out.

Wow, I remember this from a long time ago.  Tom Rush!
Gaudy
I always thought he was singing "No egrets":

thanks (I should correct myself - I also know a version by Walker Bros., but Midge's is my favourite. Lot's of pretentious 80's bombast, screaming guitars, and Midge in fine voice).

So happy to hear this song again!
No Regrets is one of my all time top 5 songs. There is also a nice electric version on Ladies Love Outlaws with Carly Simon on background vocals.
