Songs are a time & a place for me. THIS song (whole album, in fact) will always be a former girlfriend's room, in the wee hours, lit only by the computer screen, while this CD played in the background. LOVE this. When I happened to catch a high-def broadcast of Sigur Ros's Heima several years ago, I swear it was a nirvana-inducing, out-of-body experience. But even without the visuals, the music is still just as balming, uplifting, Zen, gorgeous.

This is truncated? 'Kinell! I'm glad the full version isn't played because I'd lapse into a catatonic state. The soporific effect of this song is that of a full bottle of Dreamy Sleepy Nighty Snoozy Snooze. This would have been perfect in the days when I smoked blow. Pure somnolence
I'm not really a Sigur Ross fan but I do have to admire how different they are. I certainly don't think I could listen to a full album but the odd track mixed in with other bands is probably best for me. What we need is an internet radio station that would play an eclectic mix....

The band is keyboards, this guitarist/singer playing a bowed & treated guitar, bassist, drummer and they brought a string quartet behind them.
FWIW, I think that this edited version is too short. Part of the attraction of this song is like a Philip Glass tune...it takes a while to fall into the mood (if you do at all).
I agree with dmax and others. It would be nice to hear the original version now and then.

This is a remix/edit issued by the record company. The main complaint I (& a lot of you) had about the album version is that it\'s too darned long. Let us know what you think.

Yes, its a guy singing. I saw this band a couple months ago and although pretty, its a one trick pony. All the songs sound like this one.
