Bluebird, flying high
Tell me what you sing
If you could talk to me
What news would you bring
Of voices in the sky

Nightingale, hovering high
Harmonize the wind
Darkness, your symphony
I can hear you sing
Of voices in the sky

Just what is happening to me
I lie awake with the sound of the sea
Calling to me

Old man, passing by
Tell me what you sing
Though your voice be faint
I am listening
Voices in the sky

Children with a skipping rope
Tell me what you sing
Play time is nearly gone
The bell's about to ring
Voices in the sky

Just what is happening to me
I lie awake with the sound of the sea
Calling to me

Bluebird, flying high
Tell me what you sing
If you could talk to me
What news would you bring
Of voices in the sky
Voices in the sky
Voices in the sky

I have been enjoying the MB's since 1970 , they were a band you could listen to and be inspired, all the years of listening  I feel the same today.  Only wish some of there recordings were better quality for todays high tech listening machines. Every album of theirs is filled with quality songs, for inspiring listening

Well, that was worth sharing...not! Considering it's a completely different song, it bares no resemblance to this track
Knights in White Satin turned me off for life

I agree!!!!  Thanx RP!
Great stuff!!!!!
Classic Mellotron keyboard track.
The bell's about to ring......listen.
I've heard of fans being so enamored with the MB's that one guy jumped though a skylight just to be with them. I saw them at Maple Leaf Gardens back in ... well , I was very stoned.

I was born old; I really liked them in my teens. Still do.
Bless B&B of RP for playing this album which nobody does
A donation was sent your way earlier today
Keep on keepin' on
they sold their youth in the 60's so their music can sound fresh today

No wonder Robin Trower left.

He was so fed up he left before he even got there.

Just some songs which get played over and over
Play more MB, their music never gets old.
Those voices sound great after 50 or so years...time less messages

  Play more Moodies

…..I was born in '77 and always thought I understood the mystic power of the MBs, they being one of my favorite bands and all...at least with my understanding of their mystic power I can mentally time travel to 1964 and hear all of this brand new....Long Live RP and mystic power!!
Just made my day (Christmas 2019). Many Thanks.
Heard a lot of Moody Blues here in the last few days.  WONDERFUL, and thank you!
It gets NO better!
Did the Moody Blues just invent Twitter?

Went to see Justin Hayward several weeks ago and he played this song, along with many other MB tunes. He's still got it. Very good concert. Great band...then and now.
Always a great day when the Moody Blues are played on RP while at work!

Left what - the room?  Trower was with Procol Harum, not the Moody Blues.  Maybe you were thinking of Denny Laine?
No wonder Robin Trower left.
A classic and timeless album!
I guess you would have had to be alive and functioning when this song came out to understand the mystic power of the Moodies
As always, whenever I hear a Moody Blues song I'm set to wondering whether they're the worst band in rock history, or only one of the worst. On more charitable days, I think that no one can match the exquiste ineptitude of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. But then I hear a song as odious as this one, and I'm set to wondering all over again.
Zzzzzzzzzzzz........
Well I always liked this song, even if I wasn\'t stoned :) Kevin
I haven\'t heard this in ages! Thanks! :)
