I was thinking I heard some CCR influence here...then the very next track played is CCR's "Green River." I guess Bill hears it, too.

Can there be a separate "Sounds Like" section for the short-sighted comparisonizers? So tiresome. Unworthy. Worthy of being stuck with each other. There's not a station on the universe that offers more variety uniquely segued anI some still don't appreciate it.
Maybe a bit brusque of a response but I fully agree with your remark about the "not a station in the universe" bit. RP is the soundtrack of my life.

Sounds a lot like JJ Cale. Still very good though.

This is the only JW song in which I do not understand its message.

So great to have the Wikipedia page along with the artist. I remember listening to Jesse Winchester in the 70s but had no idea of his backstory of coming up to Canada to avoid the draft and becoming a Canadian citizen, and eventually moving back to the US. Sad to learn also that he left us so young, at 69, a few years ago. We are lucky to have lot's of his lovely music to keep making us feel good and remember him by.

I miss him greatly. Jesse could do it all: write, compose, play and SING. He was a musician's musician.
RIP Jesse, a gentle man—at work or leisure.
Nice laid back music, indeed.
Always happy to hear me some Jesse Winchester. He's still got it!
