well, most southerners know exactly what "hoe cakes" are, but for the non-southerners, just think pancakes.
Prods along. Pleasant enough. Not too exciting.
is he played every 9 years?  ho-cakes, yup thats what I heard too  wish I had long blonde hair
Nice: Shawn Mullens on RP!! First time I hear him passing by.
:sunny.gif: cool, I like it.
Any guesses as to whether " Mexican Radio" by Iguanas is next?

I guess I see some basis for the comparison to Natalie Merchant, but disagree entirely with an assessment that puts this guy above her; she\'s got a voice I\'m not always into hearing, but terrific songwriting ability; Mullins, if you listen with any amount of attention, has a decent vocal style but an utterly crappy voice, and his songwriting is about as good as my godson\'s would be. He\'s 4. This dude is crap.
Very nice stuff, I hear a little Kris Kristofferson influence in there.
I think this is fine. Not spectacular, but fine. Is sure is better than anything by Natalie Merchant (I mention that only because I saw a lot of comparisons between the two). At least he has a good voice and know a thing or two about phrasing, unlike Natalie.
Eh.. not bad. I\'m not going to run out and buy the CD or anything, but I wouldn\'t object to hearing it every now and then.
Nice - takes me there...
good to hear some more of his work.. I'd heard it before but didn't stop in to see the comments or to rate it.. I was one of those that really liked his Lullaby song... and didn't over 'hear' it too much cause I've pretty much not listened to "pop" or "top 40" stations in years now... I only knew it from MTV & MTV2 ... and I don't hang on those channels all that much anymore.. so I'm not burnt out on him.. :) -T (although while typing this, Stevie Ray Vaughn has come on.. and I think this is a caged set & pairing... I remember the last time I heard this song... I was pretty sure Stevie followed then too... and then Catie Curtis...hmmm think I've just seen RP Loop ) EDIT: (well that's changed now.. a different Norah Jones song, neater arrangement!!)
