I used to have Einaudi.
:-)))
Ludivico Einaudi wird aus meiner Sicht massiv überbewertet.
er ist kein Beethoven, aber trotzdem angenehm anzuhören
He's no Chopin is he?
Well neither is Mozart, Beethoven, you or me....
Extremely boring hype.
He's no Chopin is he?
Well, should he be? Why?
i have really grown to love this artist.
can anyone recommend a specific album? there's been a lot played on RP, and i want to get some of this for my mom. she'd love it.
thanks in advance!!
Do a search on RP. They have 5 albums & 9 tunes on the list. That would be a good start!

this gives me happy tears.
I Agree! Me too! EXCELLENT TUNE! Thanx RP!

Pity those whose only pleasure is finding fault in the joy of others.
I Agree. Very well stated! ...And, they wonder why they are sitting alone in their Mommy's basement, using HER laptop!

I'm so grateful for RP introducing me to Einaudi. I use it as background music when I write or read, and I do love it for road trips.
yes! i am discovering him for the first time and everything i've heard i've loved.
As a drummer my feet are keeping time, outstanding!
Einaudi has released a series of albums inspired by mountain walks, highly evocative to me as a hillwalker. Some of his best work IMO.

It kinda makes me sad Bill doesn't ever put on Clint Mansell's "Moon" theme on. It's a great soundtrack and there are definitely a few tracks floating around on RP like this one that hint at it. Maybe it's just a licensing issue, idk.

This guy seems to be rockin' out to it:

I wanted to update my earlier post. This album is now a "go to" album for me when I need to relax/concentrate. There are some true gems on it.
Looking at all of the people disliking this I'm amazed. I would listen to this song over entire cracker or cake discography, but to each is it's own, peace
I love cracker and cake, especially when cheese is involved.

This is the 12" version. Maybe try the 7" to bring you back up?
I love this piece. The violins underneath, in the background keeping time do set a person on edge a bit.

Bought the CD and gifted it to my audiophile friend. The sound on his HiFi system was very disappointing.
Don't understand why they haven't tried harder with this since the music begs for a quality recording.
miss you so much, Cynaera...
love this music...
Ditto-ness...
I don't agree with you about the latter bit,but I think I understand what you mean.
Do you mean "laughably pretentious"? No matter...
Anyhow, use of the word "whilst" is often considered pretentious, well at least in the Western Hemisphere.
I like to listen to music like this when I'm writing code.
I like to listen to music like this when I'm playing the piano.
Because you're a pretentous Brit whilst I have great admiration for your pretensiouly laughable birthright...?

I see your metaphor and raise you, Cynaera. I would compare "the classics" to a beautiful and ornate cathedral or palace from that era, with beautiful and interesting things to see wherever the eye lands. LE's stuff to my ear sounds like a gray, monolithic, soulless, office building somewhere in the suburbs. Repetitive, featureless, all the life squeezed out of it. Modern? Yes. An advance? Far from it. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that 90% of the musicians on this record loathe the music they are playing.
Edit: I'm fully willing to admit that I'm completely missing the point and simply don't understand what Mr. Einaudi is trying to accomplish. But regardless, this isn't rocking enough for me to not care about its lack of class or intellectual stimulation, and it's not classy or intellectual enough for me to care about it not rocking. But at least this is RP, and much like the weather in Texas, wait five minutes and it will change — happily getting the Led out now!
I agree, the word "pedantic" comes to mind...

I find it to be excellent when riding my bicycle long distances.
Just a thought.
If this puts you into a coma, then you are already dead inside.
What does the song to you?
Makes you jump and giggle?
Or dance...?
I like to listen to music like this when I'm writing code.
Yep.
you bore the hell out of me!
Go to Mama - Carbonara e una Coca-Cola!
I like to listen to music like this when I'm writing code.
If this puts you into a coma, then you are already dead inside. Sorry for ya.
Now, seriously. Please make it stop.
I recommend his collaborations with Mali musicians, and his forays into electronic embellishment.
I commend you on your tactful and thoughtful critique. I would not have been as kind. It's music like this that makes me long to hear my cat meowing under the window, or when she walks across my piano keys. More shallow than I like.

Un bel brano del sig. Einaudi, mi tocca dire...
Che cazzo c'è?
HONNECKER loved piano-schmonzetten too.
Er, I'm sure that Erich Honecker like schnitzel and strudel too - sfw? Does that mean that we're not allowed to like something just because some tinpot dictator did so? You're an awful troll, you really are.
So, how's Marina?
The George Winston for the 21st C
Nobody is old with 42!
There must be something else in your NIGHTBOOK, SanYanni?
PS
HONNECKER loved piano-schmonzetten too.
MUSIC for Old Men!
"Youth is wasted on the Young" ;)
Trolling again, eh? . If it's anything like as good as Divenire I'll snap it up - his music is very evocative. This track makes me think of sharp summer showers.
To proof I am not I insure you,
I heard this music in the elderly home,
when visiting my 89 year old grandfather, recently!
The YANNI fan, he is - was sleeping!
NO KIDDING!!!
You are in the wrong department,
this is ROCK 'n' ROLL, here!
"Carbonara e una Coca Cola, prego!"
It might be the only way to save us from this torture...
In fact you should be fined for your heretic statement...;-)
More Ludovico more moooore!
It might be the only way to save us from this torture...
MUSIC for Old Men!
Trolling again, eh? This is modern music in the classical genre, and is far more alive and young than many of the 'rock classics' played on RP.
So, are you still trying to get off with Marina, Troy?
Thanks, RP: I'd not known that there was a new Einaudi release. If it's anything like as good as Divenire I'll snap it up - his music is very evocative. This track makes me think of sharp summer showers.
Correct, this song is suet.
As usual in Holland we got a big thundercloud and lots of rain
. So the concert was cancelled.I don't like all of his songs, but this one (Nightbook) is a 8 !
mucho buenos from AK crew!!ha ha haaaaa....absolutely. Right there with ya. Ditto.
