well said. It gets old. For some one who has had some genuine suffering and who has benefitted immensely from our medical system (probably wouldn't be alive now if not for it) it is amazing how little empathy he has for other people.

This refers to the former Gov of Virginia's (an MD, IIRC) remarks in a interview while still governor, where he mentioned that in some cases when a baby survived an abortion they would be kept "comfortable" while the mother and her doctors decide the baby's fate which may end with termination of life after a live birth.  The whole episode would be referred to as an abortion.  This is old news and the actual interview was widely available on Youtube.

You listen, but your bias allows you to only hear the parts that serve your purpose.  He did not say, nor does he support, killing a viable baby after it's born.

In the 2019 radio interview, Northam, who is a pediatric neurologist, was discussing hypothetical scenarios involving third-trimester abortions in cases of severe fetal deformities or non-viable fetuses. He stated: "If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother."

Northam's comments were in response to a question about proposed legislation that would have loosened restrictions on late-term abortions in Virginia. His office later clarified that his remarks were specifically about "tragic or difficult circumstances" such as non-viable pregnancies or severe fetal abnormalities. It's important to note that:
  1. Northam was not advocating for post-birth abortions.
  2. His comments were taken out of context and misrepresented by some political opponents.
  3. The proposed legislation he was discussing was aimed at addressing rare cases involving severe medical complications, not allowing abortions on demand late in pregnancy.
Northam, nor any party or organized group of pro-choice proponents support post-birth abortions. His statements were about medical decision-making in rare, complex cases involving severe fetal abnormalities or non-viable pregnancies.

This is a guy who has dealt with hundreds or thousands of families making incredibly difficult decisions or being told devastating news by doctors like Northam.  He was sharing his MD experiences while governor... a foolish move in retrospect.  It's far from the only lie that Republicans have rallied around under Trump.

More importantly,

I'm assuming you've never dealt with this.  We have a cousin whose first child was born, and immediately (surprisingly) had issues.  The problems were so severe that the mother never saw the child before they rushed him off to another room...then to surgery...then via helicopter to a children's hospital.  They "resuscitated" the child numerous times, but he couldn't be saved.  He remained on life support long enough for his parents to get to the hospital... to hold him... once.

I wouldn't wish their experience on my worst enemy.

You have no idea what the fuck you're talking about, and it would benefit everyone if you'd stop promoting propaganda.  You have no idea the people you're hurting by supporting this bullshit.  For anyone who has dealt with this, you are right up there with Alex Jones and the Sandy Hook lies.

Obviously you have no problem with this type of an abortion since you do not believe it to be real.  This would fall under the "partial birth abortion" umbrella, which the democratic party officially as policy refuses to restrict.

Hey, you missed Biden's decline so I am not surprised you missed this one, too.

You are not infallible.

It's been pretty common for the GOP to rend their garments that Demoncrats have even performed abortions after the baby is born.

Yes, although those votes should already have been lost well before this recent incident.

- Referred to American soldiers who died in war as "losers" and "suckers".
- Called John McCain a "loser" for being captured during the Vietnam War, stating he prefers people who weren't captured.
- Refused to support John McCain's funeral, saying "We're not going to support that loser's funeral".
- Became angry when flags were lowered to half-staff after McCain's death.
- Referred to former President George H.W. Bush as a "loser" for being shot down as a Navy pilot in World War II.
- Expressed difficulty understanding why Americans respect former prisoners of war.
- At Arlington National Cemetery, reportedly asked "What was in it for them?" while standing at the grave of John Kelly's son.
- Claimed his efforts to avoid sexually transmitted diseases were his "personal Vietnam".
- Mocked John McCain's physical limitations due to injuries sustained as a prisoner of war.
- Questioned why Nikki Haley's husband was absent from the campaign trail while deployed overseas.
- Referred to the Presidential Medal of Freedom as "much better" than the Medal of Honor because recipients of the latter are often deceased or severely injured.
- Reportedly pushed aside and verbally abused a cemetery official at Arlington National Cemetery who tried to stop his team from filming in a restricted area.
- Was photographed smiling and giving a thumbs-up next to the graves of service members not involved in the ceremony he was attending.

His being Commander-in-chief devalues the service of every active and retired service member. Making that mistake twice is inconceivable.
