I am amazed at the lines which form at the end of each session for both parties.

Republicans today were literally tripping over each other to get their noses further and further up the POTUS backside.  I guess if you're from a state where he polls strongly you feel a need....but history is going to make you look completely foolish.

The most obvious thing from all of these preceding is a need for rules that limit both terms and post-service "reward jobs" that prove you were merely bought off during your time in DC.   It's obvious that even with the pedestrian salaries they receive while serving....they are all for sale.  There is value in continuity, but there is no need for lifetime appointments.

I think the goddam parties should be abolished. Make the election process publicly-funded, zero private money permitted.

This in essence makes the article citing "Obstruction Of Congress" as phony as a $3 bill.

Trump obstructed Congress. Congress didn't take him to court to fight it, but that doesn't absolve him.

There was no obstruction of Congress without a determination by the Court, the Third Co Equal part of our government

One cannot presume the outcome of the Court.  Without that determination it is only an opinion.

That Congress failed to go to court allows the charged to still be presumed innocent.

The proper application of Executive Privilege needs to be determined.

Only the Court can make that determination.

People are certainly bored and indifferent about this impeachment. I think we all know where it's headed, but the lawmakers need to go through the steps. There has been hypocrisy beyond my wildest dreams. None of you (but a guy named Kurt?) get what is happening here. Period. I can't help you with all your mind shit about issues out of your control anyway, but I can assure you that this president loves the country. He wants to fix shit, he's a NYC builder. So far, the president who loves his county has accomplished so much in three years.

And this was written a couple months before he was impeached.

Trump’s presidency is a train wreck. Let us count the ways

Add to the list his mind-blowing mendacity and appalling vulgarity.

I dont have any reason to believe that he doesnt 'love' his country or that he doesnt want to fix shit (seems like prerequisites for the job, no). But that's not the point....which is he's not doing it very well, while breaking plenty of rules, i.e., a lousy president.

I will repeat what I posted at some point yesterday. Pointing out hypocrisy and abuses of power, past and present, on both sides of the aisle and declaring a pox on both their houses will not do anything to extricate ourselves from the muck. Did we hit bottom with the election of Trump and was it an inevitable descent, the result of a frustrated electorate giving a collective middle finger to those in office/power? A needed wake-up call? Perhaps. But it seems to me we are still resigned to a continuing downward spiral, bored and indifferent.

Well, as long as the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani was well worthwhile.

I think it is terrific that Americans are so willing to sacrifice American lives, health and tax payer dollars to make sure the Israelis can continue to pour settlers into the occupied West Bank, demolish houses in  both the West Bank and Jerusalem.

At least Americans are united in their Antisemitism.
