The US threatened to impose 25% tariffs on cars to push Europeans to initiate proceedings against Iran for violating the nuclear deal, the German defence minister has confirmed. (...)

But the threat is a further insight into Trump’s modus operandi with Europe – in effect using threats of economic sanctions and the power of the dollar to try to force Europe to follow US foreign policy.

So this entire "sham impeachment" has been about soliciting the announcement of an investigation into the Bidens that was never received, yet the moment they learn that the bad seed, corrupt, former US ambassador may have had someone following/tracking her, they launch a probe?  Anyone want to bet on the speed at which this generates artifacts that support the impeachment and/or are harmful to Trump?

Zelensky and the Ukrainians are smart enough to not publically contradict Trump, but to think they aren't pissed off by US attempts to "use" them while fighting Russia and starting a new government is likely wrong.  The Ukrainians have always been interested in stamping out corruption, they just didn't want to piss off the US President by pointing out his.

The reality for Republicans in the Senate is that history is going to judge them harshly if they rubber-stamp a trial, and every day it gets harder and harder to ignore the new facts that corroborate the stories told by witnesses in the House hearings.

There is no doubt that the President attempted to coerce a foreign government into creating a scandal implicating his most obvious opposition in the 2020 election for personal benefit, applying leverage to an ally by withholding funds that had been legally approved for distribution during their war with a known enemy of the US.  A set of facts so concerning to the founding fathers, they did everything but draw pictures for us.

Rebuttals are pointless and disingenuous.  My favorite is "this President sold them Javelin missiles to defend themselves, something Obama wouldn't do".   The javelins are only a talking point, as we sold them with restrictions that render them useless.  Republicans will explain the limitations on their use aside, they are a "strategic deterrent", yet the strategic impact of a message to the Russians that aiding our ally is silly and futile.  The arguments are more akin to a kindergarten sandbox than international relations.

Anyone who defends these actions does so solely in an attempt to have their party win the 2020 election, with no regard for the country as a whole.  Abortion?  Judges? Taxes?  What could possibly be so important that you would defend short term victories for potential long term devastation?  It's baffling....and sad.

Apparently that and 'owning the libs'.

It's the first I've seen of it but that note and others were apparently written by Lev Parnas, Rudy's "associate".  There is more info here and some other places.  I guess more info will come out soon.

The author of the notes—which the press indicates is Parnas—misspells "Zelensky."

Thanks.

I'd already heard these mentioned on Fox and richard posted a link about these somewhere else that was a little too busy to follow and make any sense of.  Your's is pretty straight forward.  Have to wait and see how this develops.
