I would love to be able to sort by artists within my favorite. Here is the scenario I envision: sort songs I have rated 8, 9 or 10, for example, then within that search, add the ability to sort by artists. That way I could more easily see what artists and albums I have been enjoying.

I heard a Bombino song recently that I enjoyed. When I did an artist search, I realized I had previous rated several other songs by him as 7+. I am now planning to check out more of his work and I think the ability to sort by artist within the ratings search would make it easier for me to have more of these realizations.

Thanks for all the AMAZING work you do here at RP!

That's quite likely the issue. Some routes are getting pretty congested as people shift to working & playing from home. The NA <> Asia routes are quite likely particularly hard hit.

One version/track of "Now That We've Found Love" appears to never have been played and the other appears as if it has not been played in over ten years.  It doesn't look like there are really any system errors, the voting was separate - one appears to have the usual collection of reggae haters voting and the other does not.

Tag song in iOS app.  Be great to have the ability to 'Tag' a song so that you can find it later.  Many times something plays that I want to remember to look up later and I cannot write it down or otherwise.  I realize that there is a playlist, but finding something on there later or a day later is neigh to impossible.
Maybe you could monetize a referral to Spotify or iTunes ,etc.  Much in the way Shazam does with the 'Open In' feature after you look up a song.

The best way to do that is to use our song rating system. Rate a song 7 or higher in the app and it will appear on your 'favorites' list:
https://radioparadise.com/music/favorites

We have iTunes links on all of our song info pages, and we get a small payment from Apple for downloads. Spotify doesn't offer any similar functionality.

That would work better if you didn't play so much good music. But with that cool slider in the link I can dedicate a rating of 3 for my tagged songs.

Bill - Thanks for the reply. I understand the steps you have mentioned. However sometimes you are on the run and just have a Thumb available. A 'heart' a "Plus Sign' or something similar would be more effective.

If I have more time I find myself 'Shazaming' a song for later play.

If the tech team would let us embed twitters that would be more funner these days and a lot of image links don't paste properly so we have to go old school and img tag them and that seems a bit too 2003.

No. Should be fine. What browser are you using?

Not working again this morning - I'm using Chrome, which has always worked fine.

Found the issue. It affected the most recent versions of Chrome on our legacy site. Should be OK now.

A reminder: bits & pieces of the legacy site will inevitably start to fail as technology progresses. This was an easy fix, but that's not always the case. The legacy site requires my personal intervention in most cases, and I'm phasing out the amount of time that I devote to the technical side of things so that I can concentrate more fully on the music side of things — and, you know, have a life :-).

So it might be good for those of you who are still using the legacy site to make the transition to our main site.

Typically, I go to one of the sites and, if/when it stops working, I shift to the other and stay there until it has an issue.  Not saying this is every day, as it's not, I just tend to stay on the one that worked most recently.  Until it doesn't.  And, yes, I've experienced stream failure on the new site too, or I wouldn't keep going back to the legacy site.  But thank you - and that *is* why I asked if it was being phased out.

Hi Bill and everyone,

I'm from California but live in Switzerland, and I listen to RP - mostly the Eclectic mix - pretty much every day. I love RP, thanks so much for the music!

Some days ago (sorry, my memory is kinda hazy) first the eclectic then the main mix failed for me (or maybe I just didn't check the main mix immediately after the eclectic mix failed). I listen to RP via Logitech Media Server running on a FreeNAS server using the AAC 320 streams listed at https://radioparadise.com/listen/stream-links. The song titles show up, but no music. I figured it was just a temporary glitch, but it's still broken for me. Today I tried via the web player and all channel work fine, with no delay in song start. Checking the streams with VLC on my Mac also works, but takes 10+ seconds to start playing. Hmm.

Ok, I confirmed that the streams are correct in LMS and found, after selecting a stream, a song title will show up but then LMS drops into pause mode after 10-15 seconds of silence. If I keep clicking the play arrow (LMS web interface) every time it drops into pause eventually (3-4 times?) the stream will start playing. So I think there's some new delay happening in the start of the streams that LMS doesn't like. I haven't made any changes in my setup in a while. Any thoughts? Any other troubleshooting I should try?

Very old Soundbridges don't support AAC. Nothing we can do about that. Your best bet is to just use the mp3 links.
