From what I can see, songs in the RP database have both a release date, shown on the song pages themselves, and a year, shown in the Now Playing list. The year appears to be the one in which the song/album was first released.
Did they just fix this? I also notice that the current playing song is now pinned to the top of the list and you scroll the rest of the list underneath.
Both good changes.

From what I can see, songs in the RP database have both a release date, shown on the song pages themselves, and a year, shown in the Now Playing list. The year appears to be the one in which the song/album was first released. (Extreme example: Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata has 1801.)
Quite a few recent songs lack the first release year however, and show â(null)â next to their album name in the playlist, which is sort of annoying when I want to know how old a song is. It can't be that hard to fall back to the year of the album release date if no explicit year is defined in the database.

You guys are the best thing on the web!
Feature Request for RP on Android Auto:
Please consider adding a LIKE button that we can hit while driving. Too often I miss out on remembering a fantastic artist because I am getting old and forgetful.
Is there a way that I could go back to what I liked recently (when I'm not driving) to consider supporting the artist or sharing their music with a friend?
Forgive me if this is a duplicate request!

Offline cache blocks (main mix) for android, from UK ,are noticeably Slow. No errors are raised. Still usable but performance maybe indicative of an issue.
EDIT Back to normal warp speed.

There's no glitch. Each of those thread topics has its own ID and original author. There's nothing in the forum coding that prevents two threads being created with the same topic title. Nor is there anything preventing the original author of a thread topic renaming the topic in the thread they created to be identical to an existing topic title. Through it all, the topic ID number will remain discrete for each (mouse over each link to see the unique topic ID).

Really? - At first, this sounds a little creepy to me. After testing, I found you're feeding back my IP address and any local streams played, plus all the devices playing under my external IP from your server(s). That's pretty nifty, sure.
Still creepy? - Somewhat, if you ask me.

The tool is intended to be used to track devices logged into your RP account on your network or to view what a certain channel is playing/has played.
For instance- when I'm at home sitting at my desk and playing RP on my TV which is hooked up to my sound system, I don't have to get up and check my TV screen (which is out of view) to see what is playing. Alternatively, I can see what is playing on Mellow without actually playing it.
Pausing playback on the site keeps things from getting confusing. Say you're tracking a device that you've skipped songs on or your partner is listening to a different channel than what is playing on your laptop. Seeing a play history that doesn't match what you've heard could be confusing to some users.
If you're interested in the play history of the device you are currently listening on, using the List Mode ("humburger" or three lines icon) is your best choice. The play history is also displayed in the left column in Info Mode (circle "i" icon) in browsers. Alternatively, you can see the channel play history on our Channels page.
Lots of use cases are covered by these various modes and tools.

I'm with you; it's unexpected behavior. Although it's never been a problem because I have never explored that pageâif I want a playlist I just click on the song title in the player.

On the Artist and Album pages, can you sort the list of albums by release date instead of the internal database ID?
Those pages are finally getting some attention. Stay tunedâ¦
Still hoping for an ORDER BY for albums on those pages. :)
I know the Apple apps are taking a lot of bandwidth just now, but it'd be nice to sneak this in at some point.

Rock Mix this morning - random pauses happening.
First was with the Blur - Barbaric (one song have not seen played in a while, if ever, so i was excited to hear it) - song kept automatically pausing on its own at the start and when i hit play, it automatically went back to pause again and again, and wouldn't play.
same happened with BRMC - Berlin AND QOTSA - Time & Place (also a song i haven't seen on a mix yet, or at least not in a while...so i was excited.)
switched to Main Mix - songs played fine, switched back to Rock Mix, this kept happening.
restarted, still happening.
Rush - Freewill.
Eels - Souljacker
Modest Mouse - Dashboard
Springsteen - Radio Nowhere
4 in a row, stuck on pause, won't play.
**EDIT - 5 hrs later - same thing happening, 6 songs in a row on the rock mix and i gave up:
The White Stripes - Ball & Biscuit
Eels - Wonderful, Glorious
Spoon - Eddie's Ragga
RHCP - Easily
alt-J - U & Me
Santana - Hope You're Feeling Better

It's related to an 8 year old bug. So not expecting a fix soon.
We'll have to come up with a way to accommodate it.
In the meantime. Firefox is going to be unreliable in certain scenarios.
Would recommend another browser for now.
Things seem to have gone back to normal. Except for one thing - RP randomly quits playing on a daily basis. Sometimes it starts up on its own a few minutes later, but other times I have to get up and click the listen now button to start up again. Internet connection is solid. I guess I'll try listening via a different browser as per your suggestion...
