Folks from the city/town usually have no idea what it means when the wind blows!
A fresh breeze for a coastliner may well feel like a heavy storm to an iron-concrete dweller.
...
Fuck! When trying to find a suitable graphic - the internet - as fucked as it has become - shows most only Stormy Daniels pictures!
This is the weather we have to endure! - Stupidity!!

14C (57F), , 37km/h (20mph) winds, 85& humility, and lots of rain as usual this winter. At least the winds died down from 90+ km/h. I had a 4x4 8 ft long across the top of my recycle bins and it blew off and found one of the bins over 100 ft away. had to blow over the top of the garage to get there. Never did find the lid to one of them. This is why all the house are made of stone or concrete with heavy Terrible Cotta roof tiles. A wooden US style raunch house wouldn't even last one winter here.
Honestly.
Since Corona things have changed.
We all know this.
"They" keep warning "Us" on a regular scale!
The intervals are getting shorter. The urgency enhanced.
What are they up to?
Latest forecast is now around a foot of snow from Sunday night to Tuesday morning.
With potential wind gusts of 60km to 80km (37mph to 50mph) on Monday. This morning's temperature was -15c (+5f).
I have this tradition where I buy a bottle of (dry) red wine for a major snow storm, and watch it fall out the living room window while sipping on a glass of red.

Pretty shitty these past few days here in Cadiz, Spain......intermittent rain showers, windy, not warm.......I would still rather work outside than in a cubicle farm, however.

High today in the mid 60s, with rain...then highs in the mid 30s (and lows in the teens) for the three days that follow, which will likely turn those rain-slick streets into ice.
From a watching perspective... It's a shame that the AFC/NFC championship games on Sunday aren't in Boston/Philly Sunday. A foot of snow+ for each... temps in the 20s....
might be an inch or so of snow for denver game...not to cold, low 20s

They're predicting a substantial ice/snow/wintry mix event for my area. Just snow would be preferable, but it doesn't snow much in this part of NC. Ice tends to break branches which often results in broken power lines, aside from making the roads very dangerous. I prefer having electricity, especially since temps will drop to the teens after the storm moves out. Fingers crossed...
That's exactly what we've been getting so far, plus some very high winds a couple times. We've lost power 4 times already and you have to go quite a ways back to see the last winter that has happened.
This will be the first major snowfall of the winter and so glad it will be at least cold enough that it won't rest on tree branches and roofs. Hope you get enough cold weather with that snow. The ice should be in our drinks.
Winter finally came to the foothills of Colorado.
4 when i woke, now 6 and looking at a high of 9 before we hit neg temps tomorrow morning.
But..only an inch or two of snow expected. I believe our season to date total hasnt even hit 2 feet. I'm guessing we will get a big dump soon.
Ya, I been keeping an eye on that and they're calling for only 6-8 inches from Sunday night to Monday night. So not too bad. At least it won't be wet snow, which has been a problem this winter.

Donât look now but you better check your weather map.

They just changed the forecast from 8-12â now to 12-24â and a temperature of -10°
Got most of me food needs collected today and ready to hunker down for the next 4 days.
