Recycling blowing down the street from the wind storm.

See there bubba, you can pick up your barrel early since it’s empty because you didn’t use an F’n cover.  {#Arghhh}

What? No carbide lamp?

Went through a lava tube that had been set up with an entrance at each end. We had electric caving headlamps but those basalt walls and floor suck up the light like a black hole. There was a retired couple in there sharing a AA flashlight. They couldn't light up the ground by their feet. Assured them they couldn't get lost since it was a straight shot from one end to the other.

Is that the light at the end of the tunnel?
Or a spec on the camera lens in that link?

When my son and I rode our bikes up the "Impossible Railroad" a few years back. We encountered one of the 17 tunnels... a 1/4 mile one.
We had some fairly high powered flashlights mounted on our bikes. But they were pitifully inadequate making it a challenge to ride that portion of the tunnel.
It still was an epic trip and one we like to do again.

Y'know sometimes you see someone at the Redbox in pajama pants, baggy T shirt, flip flops? Messy hair etc., no big deal, right? I was at the local fast food emporium this a.m. getting some coffees and a young woman of this description gets in line behind me. I got my order and she stepped up to the counter and says "I'm here for my interview." I nearly dropped 5 mochas. The manager was totally cool, told her to take a seat because they were in the middle of the morning rush (Strike 2) and then went "backstage" where a loud conversation happened...

employee "Where's Katrina?"
Manager: "She's fired!"
"What? WHY"
"She came in late and unprepared."

Prospective applicant, who I thought was too dull to get the hint, instead opened her phone and told someone something along the lines  of "this isn't going to happen."

But there's an opening! She should have called the manager over and said,"I see you're in the weeds. I can start right now."
