I believe R_P was referring to the attitudes of many Americans to Gays and Muslims.

Whether it is legally welcome or not, there is much homosexuality in Muslim countries just like there was lots of homosexuality in the USA and other rich western democracies when homosexuality was subject to persecution.

Now, tell us about Americans who back the murder of children and grandparents in order to satisfy American political and resource objectives.

QED

I guess you got woke re-educated already about The Gays. That still leaves The Trans. Looks like The Muslims are still a set of comfy shoes.

Good point! Right wingers in general (and evangelical right wingers in particular) aren't afraid of gays or Muslims because Muslims hate gays. All billion of them, even the gay ones. But I digress. Your logic is inescapable! Right wingers can only be said to fear things that do not have antipathy for each other—like vaccines and trans people.

I was commenting on what Richard said.

Not the article and its subject matter.  Not even going there.

So I guess that I am the only one who considers his linking of these two groups in his context as tone deaf and unthinking.

So be it.  I can live with that.

Or maybe she'll insist on Ivermectin and HCQ**. If so...good luck to her. Either way the experience is likely to be scary.

Just to follow up, she tweeted
Addressing the rumors on Twitter Monday, Owens stated, "Unfortunately for you — I’m at the top of an Aspen mountain with my family and limited reception. I’m still proudly unvaccinated and unmasked."
But now I wonder if there was a contract for her speaking engagement that she skipped to be in Aspen, or if it was just a garden-variety snub.

I didnt read the story, and probably wont, but...
Believing in the internal, and not being "scared" of mortal threats does not provide a pass about being responsible.
One is being righteous, the other self righteous.
