man, what a fun afternoon with the rock mix yesterday. seems like william at one time when he made this particular mix that he was feeling a little nostalgic for the music of the late 80s through early 00s. i heard stuff i hadn't heard for years and he was on a roll! it was awesome.
I was pretty grand....not too bad this morning either except I can't escape the Talking Heads. Everywhere I go! Everywhere! There they are.

Last month when it was hot out and I was pining for winter, I booked a couple of nights for Justine and me up at Old Faithful. Now I'm looking at the forecast high of 40 with rain and snow on Friday and I want to go kick August Scott in the shins.
I'm starting to plan our winter excursion southward. Just now realizing the winter weather will be a bit worse for travel than now, so I better add some time on the North end.

My advisor had a student who's natural rhythm was about a 26 hour day. So some months you would see him in the morning, some in the afternoon, and sometime you had to show up in the middle of the night to see him.
This increase in speed is thought to be due to various factors, including the complex motion of its molten core, oceans, and atmosphere, the effect of celestial bodies such as the Moon, and possibly the departure of "Professor" Irwin Corey, who passed away in 2017....
Three Gorges Dam sped up the spin by .06 microseconds per day.
Scientists reported that in 2020 Earth had started spinning faster, after consistently spinning slower than 86,400 seconds per day in the decades before. On June 29, 2022, Earth's spin was completed in 1.59 milliseconds under 24 hours, setting a new record.<3> Because of that trend, engineers worldwide are discussing a 'negative leap second' and other possible timekeeping measures.

Ah, so that's what's screwing with our circadian rhythm?
