I feel bad for the electoral majority who are so fed up that they feel that burn it all down is a valid option.  It's like they think "oh hey, we'll get an insurance check and then we'll get all new stuff!". But they don't realize that all teh family pictures will be gone along with that really nice antique watch that grandpa gave them. I don't know how to appeal to these people who seem to think the harm will only come to other people, so I just insulate myself as best as I can and hope that the catharsis will be brief and the impacts fixable. But I fear that we are losing a lot that we will never recover. Among the losses is an ability to even get along. If this persists, the end will be ugly.
