You believe that Trump supporters are blindly stupid in lock step ignoring all of his faults.  You are out of touch with reality.  With your world view as illustrated above, it is impossible for you to even think of seeing what his supporters see.  Trump is not business as usual.  Get over it.  He still believes that America is the best thing that ever happened to this planet and so do I.  That alone is enough to piss off all the Lefty apologists who think like you, we should sit on the sidelines and let some one else do what America does.   The civilized world is a better place because of America, its strengths and virtues.  Who else can make that claim ?  What other major country grants power to the government by the governed ?  Its a short list.  I'll wait for an answer.

He never had the benefit of the doubt by any other than his supporters and that includes the republican establishment.  He was pronounced a disaster before he started.  So why should we care what you or anyone else thinks about him at this point ?   Yeah with all of his warts and flaws, he's doing pretty well in spite of all of the obstacles being placed in front of him.  We see the hate and opposition he is facing vs his accomplishments so far and are thinking he's doing ok and would be doing a hell of a lot better if he had some support.

You expect Trump supporters to roll over and play dead because you and the establishment types we are trying to run out of power think we will because we are just blind sheep with short attention spans, easily tired and easily dismayed.  It ain't happening.  The more you all pile on with all of the BS and Russia shit, the more it makes us dig in and see it as a fight to the finish.  You ask about Patriotism.  I guess you are gonna find out what it really is, the hard way.

I believe all the accusations against trump are overblown...still he is usually the source of most of the stories that start to circulate around him (see twitter).  As for Trump "supporters" I dont think they are stupid, but gullible, yes...to believe he's "draining the swamp" or "cleaning house"...or that he really has the country's best interests at heart.  On the other hand, I dont think he's an evil genius out to exploit his position to advance Trump Inc.  Rather, a reckless nuisance.

There is absolutely no proof what so ever that the Russians hacked the DNC.  The CIA and FBI were refused access to the servers.  We only have the word of a third party DNC contractor.

And on the DT jr affair.  The Russian "spy" who met with Jr was brought into this country by AG Lynch who gave her special permission to be here, even after she was refused entry earlier.  Who is colluding with the Russians here ?  And then there is the Ukrainian DNC connection ...

I'm willing to bet anyone here that with all this Russia collusion crap we will see more Democrats end up in jail than Republicans when its all said and done.

Any takers ?

Done, out of here.  Unless someone accepts my bet.

There is no evidence that AG Lynch granted any special permission to Veselnitskaya or "brought her into the country".  There was no "visa/passport approval" granted by Lynch, that story appears to have been a desperate fabrication from Fox News, which was then hinted at by the President.  The State Dept. issues visas, Homeland Security oversees US entry, not the US Att'y General.  Also there's the "what-aboutism" of a DNC/Ukraine connection — if there were such a thing, it's wrong, it doesn't justify or allow any possible collusion from Jr., Kushner, and Manafort.  That's like Trump supporters defending his Muslim travel ban by (favorably) comparing it to the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII.

"As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don't see them — they hit you in the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It's over," Trump said. "As crazy as that sounds, you need transparency through that wall."

How about this thing the Trump camp did with Qatar? If the Dems want to impeach him they should start there, not the bogus Russia hack stuff.

Then of course we have the U.S. that no one ever mentions as meddling in elections for decades.

The U.S. has a long history of attempting to influence presidential elections in other countries – it’s done so as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000, according to a database amassed by political scientist Dov Levin of Carnegie Mellon University.

That number doesn’t include military coups and regime change efforts following the election of candidates the U.S. didn’t like, notably those in Iran, Guatemala and Chile. Nor does it include general assistance with the electoral process, such as election monitoring.

No, I refuse to accept your false duopoly when neither side represents my values. I'm not going to go wallow in the mud over here just because I don't like the shade of the mud over there.   Yeah, High ground - that's where you'll find me, values and ideals intact. Also, not resting on the laurels of my forefathers who were fortunate enough to land here 377 years ahead of me and breed successfully (sic.) .

Poor baby.  You really have no sense about what this county is.  This country takes a back seat to no one.  We set the standards for Freedom for the rest of the world.    Sure it ain't perfect, but its better than anywhere else, on paper at least.

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty ...

I guess you want to turn the reigns over to somebody else.  And just who are you going to put in charge ?  Its a short list.  China or Russia.  The Federation of Planets is not available.  And don't you dare say the U.N.

In case you haven't noticed the presidential pivot, we now have a cease fire in Syria that has lasted an unprecedented 5 days and counting.  Brokered by Trump.  The man has stepped up to the plate and is getting base hits and has scored a couple of runs.  The definition of politeness has been hijacked and replaced with the definition of political correctness.

You are just Pollyanna or want to be.  We had 8 years of Pollyannaism and the world is a much worse place than when he took over, forging the kind of decline that you are rooting for.

America became great by hard work, creativity, and responsibility. Not freedom. That would be the endpoint, but not the first on the to-do list.

Ever been to Mexico? Hard-working folks there. Creative as all get-out. Most of them are responsible.

Across an imaginary line no farther than you could throw a rock are pretty much the same people: hard-working, creative, responsible. One side is a prosperous country that achieves great things, the other...less so. By about any measure, but by the most honest one especially: people have to be kept from crossing that imaginary line by force, nut only in one direction.

There is more to it than hard work and such. There are necessary conditions for human thriving, and one of them (at least) is the freedom to better your own lot. We can argue about whether the US is a greater country than Mexico, but there is no argument about which side of that imaginary line attracts people trying to escape poverty. And you can repeat that experiment all over the world with the same result.

Right on and yeah look at the statistics.......there are more people escaping to Mexico then trying to come here.  In fact many of the South American immigrants that used to make it here are staying in Mexico instead.  Mexico is Trump's wall but he's such a moron that he doesn't know that.  Also, the poverty line is rapidly growing north.  Without proper and affordable healthcare, education and programs for the elderly, we have nothing to feel superior about to any country.  Freedom is long gone with the Patriot act.  I really hoped Obama was going to roll that back but he didn't.  We have less freedom, less available to us and more taxes and oppression!  YAY......GO AMERICA!
