Trump, in turn, praises Pence here and there for being a good soldier, but he is not really assigned to head anything.  Politically, Pence hedges his bets.  If Trump is in good stead when Pence mounts a run, Pence takes credit for being part of the Trump movement.  If Trump goes up in flames, Pence says he was just trying to be a good soldier, and he was not in the inner circle.  Can't imagine these 2 guys have much of anything in common, and probably are uncomfortable in each other's presence.              

Does anyone know if we still have an acting Vice President? 
 
Haven't heard anything from Pence in a long while. Does he just go into his office lock the door and only come out when the day is over?

He didn't sign the agreement, and claims to have no knowledge of it. Good luck trying to collect any money back from her in that case. Furthermore, it means Cohen wasn't acting as his attorney when he made the payment out of his own pocket so can't claim attorney-client privilege. Since he made the payment, he in effect was acting as a private citizen and can be compelled to say everything he knows about the affair and everything Trump told him about the affair.

His only hope would be to argue that the NDA was a valid agreement between him and Daniels. Doesn't seem it was written up that way.

So if it goes to deposition Cohen will likely say that Trump told him about the affair and Trump will either say it happened (the smart position, don't count on it) or say it didn't which would put the Republican congress in the position of saying, yeah we impeached Clinton for lying on a deposition but it's ok for Trump (likely what they would say since they lack any semblance of integrity - and if they lose control of congress...)

Of course, even if they manage to avoid this shit-storm, all it will take is for someone to sue him for sexual harassment before he became president and compel the testimony as part of a pattern of behaviour. He's completely stuck in Bill Clinton's position except that things can move faster because the case law has already been settled.

Still, I don't care who he had consensual sex with, same as Clinton. Personally, I don't even care if he lies about it to protect his relationship with his wife, same as Clinton. Illegal if done under oath, so there could be consequences. I do care about the hypocrites who condemned Clinton but overlook what he does.

The man who knows everything about anything draws a blank. Twice.

If he really does tamp down his trade war with China, it will be because he is instructed by Rupert Murdoch or Sean Hannity.

Bottom line... If we all thought he was unhinged before... we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.
