2 pitches. 2 HRs. 9-8 Cards, top of the 9th.

3rd batter, a walk. The boos rain down.

I rest my case.

Yadier Molina has been with the Cards since 2004.

You don't see that often.

Bases are loaded with 3 walks.

Go Cards!

And Scherzer, Strasburg and Corbin become the first trio to get 222+ K each in a season. That’s a staff no one wants to face in a short series. As long as they can stay away from the bullpen they can hang with anyone, even Houston.

Tonight Bogaerts and Devers became the first teammates in the entire history of the whole wide wide world of baseball sports to each reach 30 home runs and 50 doubles.
Two very shiny stars in an otherwise mostly cloudy sky of a season.

It might just be the highlight of this sorry Red Sox season.

That must be great for Carl, although he's too wound up about Mike's debut at Fenway to watch the game in person. But it definitely has been a sorry season for the Sox.

I assume Carl ducked out before the game started (like he said he would) but the kid did good.
