Yea, this is somewhat documented in the release notes for this update. To fix a bug, I needed to change the data structure. Depending on your device, the amount of free space and how much cache/history you had it could take more than 10 seconds to migrate data and it could also killed by the system watchdog for being “a bad app” that don’t start fast enough. If you leave the app until crash and the  start the app again (and eventually again), at the end the migration will be done and it’s a once in a lifetime event. Removing the app and reinstalling solves the problem immediately because there are no data to migrate. 🙂 Sorry for the problem, but I was not able to do better than this, it’s very difficult to test and beta testers did not report the issue (it only happens on some circumstances).

That didn't make it into the Sonos yet,  but when it does it is limited to thumb up,  thumb down.
If you really want to rate a song so you can find it later.   Another way is  is open a browser to radiopardise.com  then select the tracking option.   Track your Sonos and then you can  view your history and rate songs that way.

really enjoying your service, especially the mellow mix.

I just discovered Radio Paradise, and the World/Etc. mix is so very good. I also appreciate that there's a Roku app, and that it features the great images; it's turned my TV (with external speakers) into an audio *and* visual art box. Thank you! You've made my work-from-home lifestyle so much more enjoyable that I've just become a monthly supporter.
Have you ever considered some image transitions for the slideshow? It might be interesting to have them fade into each other.
Also, I see a brief mention in another reply that after 100 song ratings of 7 or above we have access to a custom playlist? Is that documented anywhere, or can you tell us more about it?

Hi,

it seems that one peculiar playlist that I happened to have listened to twice within 4 weeks is technically broken.
Please see my comments here: https://radioparadise.com/comm...

Would be glad if you could check this - i like the songs on that list :-)

Thanks
Nicolas

I've noticed some unusual font changes on RP today myself.
Some have gotten larger and others smaller

That's odd.  I see the post rendered in bold and "normal" - I'm using Chrome (on a PC).  The HTML has the "strong" tags where I see the bold lines.

Is there a thumbnail logo for each stream anywhere on the website? If not, please consider this a feature request!

“... Posting long lists of artwork-impaired tracks isn't going to change anything.”

At least, finally I got an answer  . Now I understand.

Thank you Bill.

You have an amazing player with outstanding high quality  audio. It would be great if all traks were treated with the same level of accuracy. Those with no album info and wrong cover art seem to be considered as marginal.

Just a kind opinion

I'm aware that the album covers & metadata are missing on a number of tracks in our library that are not currently included in any of our playlists. We periodically go through those and review them for inclusion, at which point we update the audio file (most of those are mp3 sources that aren't compatible with our current system), add the cover art, etc.

Going through those entries just to add the artwork would be time-consuming, and I'd rather spend that time expanding & improving the active playlist. Posting long lists of artwork-impaired tracks isn't going to change anything.

Hi Bill & Rebecca!

I've listened to RP for about  7 years now and have been a monthly supporter for the past 3. Thanks for all the hard work you guys are doing over there!

I think I have a bug to report unfortunately... I'm not too sure what is wrong, but here goes:

We have an ipad that sits hooked on to our amplifier at all times. It's a glorified radio paradise terminal, of sorts. Ever since we moved three months ago I've been having troubles with the radio paradise app. At first it would stop playing randomly, so I figured there's something wrong on my end with the wifi. RP is the only app that had these problems, but since they started after moving I thought that was probably it.

However, I noticed that the app actually crashes when I tried to skip to the next song.  And now, the last month or so, the app crashes a few seconds after startup no matter what I do. At this point I doubt its my network.

RP works fine on the app on my phone but that's android. Have you guys heard of any other people with this issue? The last update is from 3 months ago, so it might actually coincide with this new version.

Would love to hear your thoughts! Because I kind of need my phone so atm I have to put on another radio on my ipad instead :(

Hi,

First of all, let me tell you that I love the music selection and all the technical features offered by RP (sound quality, web design, web player, slideshow...).

I'd like to make a feature request to make our listening experience even better, if possible (sorry if it has been requested before, I haven't found it in any previous entry):
It would be great if a registered user would be able to build its own mix (playlist) choosing from its favorite tracks in the RP catalogue, so we could alternate Main Mix - Mellow Mix - Rock Mix - World/Etc Mix with, for example "My Favorites Mix" .

Thank you,

Marc

We already have that exact feature. It's activated automatically once you've rated at least 100 songs 7 or higher.
