We do selective processing on a track-by-track basis, but anything decently recorded & mastered is passed through with no processing (other than normalization).
For years we ran everything through an Orban multiband processor (very similar to what FM stations use) but we dropped that a few years back.
That makes total sense explains then why I can hear some compression on some tracks, but most others I don't really detect anything and my guess is that most of the music is so great that it hardly has to be touched.
Thanks for the explanation and keeping the music as pure as can be with still running a streaming radio station. And of course for all the great music!

To me, Radio Paradise does not sound like it is running any processing. Maybe just a soft limiter at the very top to not go over digital zero as far as I can tell. I listen on FLAC and even my own tracks sound extremely similar. Meaning to me, RP is not doing any kind of muli-band compression like a normal say, FM radio station would.
Can you let me know what kind of back end audio processing is done (if any)? Just curious.
Thanks,
Ryan
