That's quite likely the issue. Some routes are getting pretty congested as people shift to working & playing from home. The NA <> Asia routes are quite likely particularly hard hit.

Shit is getting real when sheltering in place starts to affect RP.

Stay safe in there.

As misinformation spreads, 'snake oil salesmen' are profiting off anxiety over coronavirus, says reporter

Social Distancing: This is Not a Snow Day
What I can clearly say is that what we do, or don’t do, over the next week will have a massive impact on the local and perhaps national trajectory of coronavirus. We are only about 11 days behind Italy and generally on track to repeat what is unfortunately happening there and throughout much of the rest of Europe very soon.

hobbitt's employer shared the hurt several times over the years, keeping the talent employed but on lower wages. The lower paid employees had the smallest hurt, and corporate officers were on minimum wage. It got the company through several tough times.

You have a nice gig there. Sounds very social. Ish.

Talent, this is the operative word.  If our department were not so essential this would not be happening.   The less talented and important to the company will not be so fortunate just as the rest of the business world.  I know I am blessed, I also know that I am good at what I do and others that are not will not fare so well.  It is called capitalism.

They shut down the schools in Los Angeles, San Diego and Riverside county school districts here in California.
My wife who works within the Riverside county district is happy for a break.

Foreign tests and foreign masks...
With the United States struggling to meet coronavirus testing demands, China, which appears to have made progress managing the outbreak, has tried to become a resource for other nations.

On Friday, the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation said they would donate 500,000 testing kits and one million masks to the United States to help it deal with the pandemic. Alibaba is China’s biggest online retailer, and Mr. Ma is the company’s co-founder and former executive chairman.

“Drawing from my own country’s experience, speedy and accurate testing and adequate personal protective equipment for medical professionals are most effective in preventing the spread of the virus,” Mr. Ma said in a statement.

Mr. Ma said that the two foundations had, in recent weeks, also donated similar resources to Japan, Korea, Italy, Iran and Spain.

But, but, Don the Con said he would extend paid sick leave. On television.
