You responded to a post that was singularly about only one particular faction and made no mention that this kind of behaviour may not be limited to just this one faction.
Well you can start by explaining why you believe that only republicans have contested elections. You obviously or conveniently ignore the democrat response to the 2016 elections.
I do? When and where did I state that?
By omission. nottheusualkind wrote:

It is so bizarre.
Psychology 101; people believe what they want to believe, even when what they want to believe isn't true. What I want to know is, why?

Yes you are correct. And for the record, I am not the one who keeps bringing up the threadjacks. I have only responded to them. No I have not got the booster nor do I intend to. I just had the crap 6 weeks ago so why bother ? I seem to be battling a case of post Covid pneumonia at the moment. Not sure who is winning ...
The threadjacks get kind of fun sometimes - tangential stuff. I don't think you had done the high-jacking, no matter really.
we're good. At work and just had a moment to check in and popped off ...
off to lunch. or whatever you call a couple of bottles of Boost.
Well you can start by explaining why you believe that only republicans have contested elections. You obviously or conveniently ignore the democrat response to the 2016 elections. We can go back to Kennedy who had a slate of alternate electors set up the same way Trump did this last election. It was ok then but not now.
JFK's slate of electors was for Hawaii - which had just voted for the first time in a Presidential race. The then-Senate president - the Vice President - who was overseeing the congressional certification (and also happened to be the GOP Presidential candidate: Richard Nixon), "asked for unanimous consent that the votes of the Democratic electors would count". I guess that made it "okay" back then. The three Electoral College votes from Hawaii would not have made a difference since JFK won by about 100 E.C. votes. Trump and his people were attempting to set up (admittedly fake) electors in 6 or 7 key states. Anyhow, this thread has been hijacked. Has anyone here gotten the "new" booster?

Tell you what: write down the names of these high-ranking Democrats. And if you need or want to use video clips from Fox of those people calling Trump an illegitimate president, go ahead.
There probably were prominent Democrats saying as much after Trump was elected and inaugurated. But most of those people faced facts and realized Trump was legitimately elected.
Iirc the majority of Trump supporters still think that the 2020 was stolen or rigged and that Biden was not legitimately elected. There is no basis in reality for that position as proven by court cases and numerous Republicans inside and outside the Trump administration. And yet Trumpers still swill the Kool Aid.
Don't believe in leaders. Watch your parking meters.

The democratic response to the 2016 election was to transfer records to the the national archives, try to brief the incoming president about policy and intelligence matters, without much success, then move out.
There is no basis in reality for that position as proven by court cases and numerous Republicans inside and outside the Trump administration. And yet Trumpers still swill the Kool Aid.

Just a little reminder ... The list of high ranking democrats and many others who openly and repeatedly called Trump an illegitimate POTUS because the election was stolen is very long. I could come up with a montage of video clips proving it but that would have to be sourced from FNC, which no one here believes is a credible source. Some of the time stamps of the comments are from as recent as 2019. And then what about all of the democrats who refused to attend his inauguration because they believed he stole the election and was not the legitimate POTUS ?
Try again.

and 80 million people believed him and elected him POTUS. Worse, they still believe him. .
Yeah, that can't compare to the kind of person that believes the election was stolen. Those people are very mentally stable.

Tracking the COVID death rates for the past few weeks. Nice that theyâre holding steady at about 450/day. Plenty of infections, but no piles of bodies in freezer trucks outside the ER any more, like a couple of years ago.
I say it every time: we got lucky, somewhat, that it wasnât a disease that killed the unborn or infants. We wouldâve had a very different discussion/response to something like that. After all, it was only killing the old and infirm, so who cares?
And, sadly, it didnât just vanish in spring as we were told by the guy in charge at that time. In fact, our top scientists were on the job and he wasnât much support for them. The Russian/Chinese influence through our social media talked an awful lot of people into believing in snake oil and vapor ware. The former guy was, therefore, either bad at his job of protecting the countryâs citizens from attackâ¦or culpable.
