After the latest update of the Android app I cannot listen to RP. Song text and lyrics show up, but no sound.  I had this happen before, and sound returned when the apps was updated.  Now it's gone again.

I'm using a Nexus 5 with the latest Android software. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  Caches are clean. Rebooted. All to no avail.

My wife and I share a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which is a 'phablet', i.e., a small tablet with phone capabilities.  (Who knows, we are probably older than you.)

We don't text often but when we do it is SO much easier with the larger smart phone.

Moreover, I spend a lot of time in the bush (back country, mountains).  Once upon a time I would bring along reams of 1:50,000 topographical maps and other maps.  

Now , I carry dozens of highly detailed 1:50,000 topo maps and JPEG snap-shots of GoogleEarth maps on the phablet.   As the more remote places I frequent have no cell phone service, it is easy to turn off the 'phone' and save the battery.

 
P.S.  I never carry music into the back country for both enjoyment and security reasons.  I can usually hear grizzlies and moose before I see them and so it becomes easy to cede territory (and stay out of trouble).   That doesn't work so well with walkmans, MP3 players, etc.   

Same for bicycling and running in an urban environment.  Nothing obstructs my hearing.

I'm using the Android app on my Galaxy S5 and have a problem with the song and artist info on Bluetooth.  I have the phone Bluetooth sync'd to my cars and the music is great, but I don't get song and artist info on the car display.  It shows on the cell app, but not on the car display.  I've tried this with two different vehicles (completely different brands and in-dash equipment).  Very occasionally, it will display a song and artist info when I first connect, but it won't refresh or change when the next song comes up.  I get the song/artist info with other streaming services, so it leads me to think it is something with the app.  I've tried different cache settings to no avail.  Thanks!

Hi Bill.  First, congratulations on your great RP App for caching hours of music.  Just what I need for my hour long commute to and from work, patched into my car stereo.   I have noticed one slight bug.   There is frequently a short (less than one second) break of silence near the end of most songs.   Not a big problem, only slightly annoying.   I am using an I5 with all the latest updates and using RP App version 5.1 (809).   Is there anything I need to do, or is it just a bug that might get fixed in a future App upgrade?   Keep up the great work!   Cheers.   Long time RP Supporter.

I only want to thank for the new cache/play without network connectivity functionality, it's great.
I can cache RP content at home/work and listen in my car while travelling.

Hmmmmm

Ok then...so if I have NO Wifi, (or, for experiment sake I just turn OFF the WIFI on my phone) the app will play from the cache (as long as I have the *Cell Data* checkbox unchecked)

But now Im confused again, bc the other day I filled the cache and it said 12hrs.....now atm, some days later, it says 0hrs 0 mins.

Apparently now I have no cache, even though I havent used it since I filled it.
