Sorry, did not mean my post to be to you personally. Just to many - of either gender - as an interesting experiment.

Did not intend it to be an assumption. However, the ferocity and quick feedback on the questioning of a male imagined deity, is intriguing.

The ferocity is all yours.  We create our own reality.  Seek and ye shall find. However these are not the droids you are looking for.

Got it. Too long cooped up inside. Mea Culpa. Apologies to many I respect here.

Puts an entirely different spin on the Deity bit, doncha think?

You're assuming much about me and my beliefs and experience while I'm assuming
nothing of yours unless you count a common need for forgiveness and reconciliation. What could happen in a world less personal linkage to assumptions
about individuals and their experiences and motives? Confrontation is easy. What is not easy is innocence.

Fierce imagination?  Check. God as gender specific?  Pointless. Wisdom?  Monkey wrench.

What he said.

So easy to do when its YOUR gender constantly represented. Try to imagine "she" in everything you hear, pray or read for the next week.
See what comes up.

Women who have been victims of incest, abuse, rape and sex trafficking, may have difficulty imaging a 'loving and protecting' God as male.

I challenge anyone here to consider the male god as female (since its JUST pronouns ya know) for one week.
Watch what happens within your own psyche. As a WOMAN and former Catholic, it was a trip. My attitudes were deeply challenged.
Men, will be particularly uncomfortable to find the gender considered most 'divine,' is not theirs. The sense that "She" cannot be on my side.

Imagine Omnipotent Wisdom and Unconditional Love ... needing a penis. Or any genitalia.

Also I must say that though I sense your anger and am sensitive to your protests it is sort of projecting a conclusion to assume that I personally even think of 'God' in any human way whatsoever much less in terms of religion or gender.
