5 lbs. salt peter + 1 lb sulfur + 1 lb of charcoal briquets (well crushed and powdered) then mixed with water to make a slurry and spread upon an iron cookie sheet and let dry in a cool dry place and then carefully powdered and packed into cardboard tubes makes excellent fun... the only thing is that in order to buy the fuse necessary you need to file with the ATF and home-made fuse is never safe to use...
