Fill up the mower, prime it. Nothing. Prime again. Nothing. And suspiciously no spark (reminds me of a favorite scene from Benny and Joon). Look for, and FIND (!) the spark plug wrench and pull the plug. Head to the hardware store. New plug acquired and installed. Prime again. Nothing. Curse lightly. Make sure the plug is seated firmly. Prime again. HURRAH! I think I've earned a cold beer!

Would love to have been that 'fly on the wall'.

Oh, it wasn't much more than a vehement "dang it!"

We're sitting here at midnight, chilling with a glass of red wine and  a glass of beer, wondering why Americans are so lovely but weird! It's amazing what drinking late at night does to you. Are you really our Atlantic cousins? We must have started the gene pool! Sorry!

Fred and Jan - listening to Elbow, our favourite band.

Have a very happy new year.

I am spending hours trying to shut down the Windows 10 Firewall messages.  Since the latest build, this can be a significant challenge.

For those who have not already guessed, the wireless router handles the firewall functions so I do not require a software firewall on a workstation in a home office.

Shouldn't turning off the Windows firewall take care of those messages?

Nope.   There are more than a few competent PC users out there complaining about the messages that keep popping up.

I just added Group Policy Editor to my Home version of Windows 10 and might have managed to shut down the messages.  Crossing my fingers....

Haven't seen those messages yet. But then I don't know if my wireless router has firewall capabilities. Probably not, after reading your post. I can play Doom 2016 without being interrupted.

Good luck.
